Mohammad Akhtar, better known by his stage name MC-VA (sometimes styled mcva) is a Scottish rapper, record producer, songwriter and entrepreneur originating from Glasgow, Scotland. Early life MC-VA was born in Glasgow into a family that emigrated from Pakistan. He grew up in a council house, living on the estates of Govanhill, Pollokshields, Nitshill, Ibrox and Govan. He faced struggles first-hand due to racial differences in Glasgow and on one occasion was left unconscious by an attack by three local gang members. His father was in and out of prison and died when he was fifteen. MC-VA and his siblings were raised by their mother. He attended King's Park Secondary School, graduating in 2002. Gavin Livingston, better known by his stage name Gav Livz (born 24 May 1988), is a Glasgow-born music artist and businessman. He is the founder and director of Scheme to a Dream Entertainment. Livz is primarily known for his collaboration with fellow hip hop artist MC-VA conforming a Hip Hop duo; The Neds. They gained recognition within the urban scene and caught the attention of various press such as The Scottish Sun putting them in the category of the "Class of 2010" acts to make it. Pearl and the Puppets was a band from Kirkintilloch, East Dunbartonshire in Scotland. The band comprised singer-songwriter Katie Sutherland (vocals/guitar), Blair McMillan (drums), Gordon Turner (guitar), Scott Clark (bass) and Michael Abubakar (keyboard). Sutherland's voice has been described as being similar to that of Regina Spektor and Dolores O'Riordan. Oliver Sabin (born 5 November 1991), formerly known as Unicorn Kid, is a Scottish electronic music/chip music composer and musician from Edinburgh, educated at Leith Academy. When asked about the name of the act, Sabin stated, "There’s no real story behind the name, it just kind of came about and fitted in with the fun, magical nature of the music." Alex Gardner, better known by his stage name, A-L-X (born 23 July 1991, Edinburgh, Scotland) is a Scottish pop singer. Tango in the Attic are a Scottish lo-fi, garage, pop band from Glenrothes, formed in 2008. The band consists of Daniel Craig - vocals, Jordan Craig - guitar, Jonathan MacFarlane - organ James Crook - bass and Paul Johnson - drums.
