Mövenpick Resort Petra
Mövenpick Resort Petra is located at the entrance of historic Petra in Wadi Musa in Jordan. It is about 110 km from King Hussein International Airport and 200 km from Queen Alia International Airport. The resort was opened in 1996 and is classified a 5-star hotel. The hotel features an oriental-Islamic architecture style, where natural stones and hand-crafted woodwork is merged. Islamic architecture is noticed in the interior designs. The hotel includes 183 rooms and suites and 7 restaurants. The architect was Rasem Badran. Petra
Petra (; "Rock"), originally known to its inhabitants as Raqmu (Nabataean Aramaic, Nabataean: or , *''Raqēmō''), is an ancient city and archaeological site in southern Jordan. Famous for its rock-cut architecture and water conduit systems, Petra is also called the "Rose City" because of the colour of the sandstone from which it is carved. Wadi Musa
Wadi Musa (, literally "Valley of Musa (AS)) is a town located in the Ma'an Governorate in southern Jordan. It is the administrative center of the Petra Department and the nearest town to the archaeological site of Petra, being only 3.5 km (2.2 miles) away. Most of the locals belong to the Liyathnah tribe. It hosts many hotels and restaurants for tourists, and the important B'doul settlement of Umm Seyhoun, created after the community's forced displacement in 1985, is approximately from the town. Etymology ''Wadi Musa'' means "Valley of Moses" in Arabic. King Hussein International Airport
King Hussein International Airport, , , also informally known as Aqaba Airport, is a minor international airport located in the vicinity of a northern suburb of Aqaba, Jordan. It is the country's sole other scheduled commercial airport besides the much larger Queen Alia International Airport in Amman. Queen Alia International Airport
Queen Alia International Airport () is an international airport located in Zizya, 30 kilometers (18 miles) south of Amman, the capital and largest city of Jordan. It is the largest airport in the country, named after Queen Alia, who died in a helicopter crash in 1977. The airport is also one of the busiest airports in the Middle East.
