Musashino Art University
or is a private university in Kodaira, Western Tokyo, founded in 1962 with roots going back to 1929. It is known as one of the leading art universities in Japan. History In October 1929, was founded. Izumi Kato (artist)
is a Japanese contemporary artist, painter, and sculptor. Career Katō was born in Shimane Prefecture. He attended Musashino Art University and graduated from the Department of Oil Painting in 1992. He would first enter the public eye in 1995, with his paintings debuting at group exhibitions in Tokyo. Inspired by Francis Bacon, Vincent van Gogh, and Itō Jakuchū, most of Katō's sculptures draw from the meaning of life, often resembling embryos or fetuses, and his works are intentionally left untitled to challenge the audience. He made his international debut as he went into sculpting around 2004. Katō's sculptures would be featured at Art Tower Mito's contemporary art gallery, then the Japan Society Gallery's exhibit in New York City in 2005. Kazuo Kamimura
was a Japanese manga artist born in Yokosuka, Kanagawa. He was best known as the illustrator of '' Lady Snowblood'', which was adapted into film in 1973. Hitoshi Iwaaki, a manga artist was his assistant. He has been called "the ukiyo-e master of Shōwa-era manga." Kamimura died on January 11, 1986, at age 45, of a pharynx tumor. , real name , was a Japanese science fiction writer and essayist. History Itō was born in Tokyo and graduated from the Department of Imaging Arts and Sciences at Musashino Art University. While working as a web designer, he wrote '' Genocidal Organ'' and submitted it to the Komatsu Sakyō Award contest in 2006. Although it did not receive the award, it was published by Hayakawa Publishing in 2007 and was nominated for the Nihon SF Taisho Award. From 2001, he had to be hospitalized frequently for recurrent cancer. He died at age 34 on March 20, 2009. is a Japanese manga artist. She is best known as the creator of the manga series ''Beastars'', for which she has won numerous awards. She is the daughter of manga artist Keisuke Itagaki. Koji Ishikawa (illustrator)
is a Japanese children's book author and illustrator. His work includes advertisements, magazine illustration, web, character design and book design. In recent years he has made children's books. He lives in Tokyo with his wife and two children. Biography Kōji Ishikawa was born in Chiba Prefecture Japan in 1963. As a child he loved painting, handicraft and origami. is a Japanese film director best known for directing '' The Taste of Tea'' (2004), '' Funky Forest'' (2005), and ''Smuggler'' (2011).
