The Motorola International Bintan was an Asian Tour men's professional golf tournament that was played from 22 to 25 March 2007. It was one of three tournaments in Indonesia on the 2007 Asian Tour schedule, two of which were new. Bintan
Bintan Regency (formerly Riau Islands Regency; id, Kabupaten Kepulauan Riau) is an administrative area in the Riau Islands Province of Indonesia. Bintan Regency includes all of Bintan Island (except for the city of Tanjung Pinang which is separately administered as an autonomous area of the island) and also includes many outlying islands including the Tambelan Archipelago and Badas Islands situated between Bintan and West Kalimantan. Asian Tour
The Asian Tour is the principal men's professional golf tour in Asia except for Japan, which has its own Japan Golf Tour, which is also a full member of the International Federation of PGA Tours. Official money events on the tour count for World Golf Ranking points. The Asian Tour is administered from Singapore. It is controlled by a board with a majority of professional golfers, and a Tournament Players Committee of its player members, supported by an executive team. Stroke play, also known as medal play, is a scoring system in the sport of golf in which the total number of strokes is counted over one or more rounds of 18 holes. Jason Knutzon
Jason Knutzon (born January 24, 1976) is an American professional golfer. Knutzon is a member of the Asian Tour and the European Tour. He is one of few Americans who mainly play on the Asian Tour. Knutzon has been to PGA Tour Qualifying School once. He entered in 2000 but failed to earn a tour card. He played on the Nationwide Tour in 2001 but he only made 7 of 19 cuts and was unable to retain his card. Knutzon joined the Asian Tour in 2003. In his rookie season he finished in 31st place on the Order of Merit and recorded three top 10 finishes. In 2004 Knutzon picked up his first professional win in China at the Macau Open. Pádraig Harrington participated in the tournament and finished 3 strokes behind. He ended up finishing in a career best 20th place on the Order of Merit. Gary James Player DMS, OIG (born 1 November 1935) is a South African retired professional golfer who is widely considered to be one of the greatest golfers of all time. During his career, Player won nine major championships on the regular tour and nine major championships on the Champions Tour. At the age of 29, Player won the 1965 U.S. Open and became the only non-American to win all four majors in a career, known as the career Grand Slam. Peter Fowler
Peter Randall Fowler (born 9 June 1959) is an Australian golfer who plays on the PGA Tour of Australasia and European Senior Tour. Career Fowler was born in Hornsby, New South Wales. He turned professional in 1977 and won the Australian Open in 1983. He has spent a large part of his career playing on the European Tour, where he made the top one hundred on the Order of Merit every year from 1983 to 1993, with a best ranking of 22nd in 1989.
