John Harry Martin Gosden (born 30 March 1951) is a British Horse trainer, racehorse trainer. He has trained over 3,000 winners worldwide, including victories in the Breeders' Cup Classic, the Epsom Derby, Derby, the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, Arc, the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes, King George and the Eclipse Stakes, Eclipse. He’s won over 600 races in the United States. Gosden has trained the winners of over 100 Group One, Group 1 races in the United States, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Thady Gosden (born April 1995) is a British racehorse trainer He has trained over 300 winners worldwide, including winners of the Oaks, the British Champions Fillies' and Mares' Stakes, the Ascot Gold Cup, the Dubai Sheema Classic and the Prix Jacques Le Marois. Early career He was educated at Bristol University, where he studied History of Art, but said he always intended to become a trainer. Gosden started training in 2021, holding the licence jointly with his father John Gosden. They became champion trainers in 2023. The International Stakes is a Group 1 flat horse race in Great Britain open to horses aged three years or older. It is run at York over a distance of 1 mile, 2 furlongs and 56 yards (2,063 metres), and it is scheduled to take place each year in August. History The event was devised by Major Leslie Petch, a former Clerk of the Course at York. It was first run in 1972, but by this time Petch had resigned from his position due to ill health. Frankel (foaled 11 February 2008) is a retired champion British Thoroughbred racehorse and current sire. He was unbeaten in his fourteen-race career and was the highest-rated racehorse in the world from May 2011. He was trained by Sir Henry Cecil in Newmarket and ridden in all his races by Tom Queally. Galileo (30 March 1998 – 10 July 2021) was an Irish Thoroughbred racehorse and sire (horse), sire. In a racing career which lasted from October 2000 until October 2001, he won six of the eight races he ran.
