Morgen (band)
Morgen was an American psychedelic rock band formed in Long Island, New York. Their only album, ''Morgen,'' was released in 1969. The first track off of this album, "Welcome To The Void", includes several references to fairy tales and folklore, including Jack Be Nimble and Peter Pan. Morgen was founded in 1967 by Steve Morgen, Bobby Rizzo, Murray Schiffrin, Mike Ratti, and Barry Stock. Originally, the band was named "Morgen’s Dreame Spectrum" but was later changed to simply "Morgen". Cultural Impact Although Morgen remains an obscure band, their popularity increased in the last 10 years with the widespread use of internet. Their only studio album has been reissued multiples times but still remains a rare artefact prized by avid record collectors. Speed, Glue & Shinki
was a Japanese psychedelic rock power trio formed in Tokyo in 1970 by guitarist Shinki Chen and record producer Ikuzo Orita. Initially consisting of Chen, Masayoshi Kabe on bass and Joey Smith on drums and vocals, they released one studio album before Masayoshi Kabe left during the recording sessions for the second studio album in late 1971. Joey Smith then recruited fellow Filipino musician Mike Hanopol into the band and released second studio album before disbanding in late 1972. Despite not receiving much acclaim while active, Speed, Glue & Shinki have since gained a cult following worldwide as a hidden gem of 1970s psychedelic rock. 13th Floor Elevators
The 13th Floor Elevators was an American rock band from Austin, Texas, United States, formed by guitarist and vocalist Roky Erickson, electric jug player Tommy Hall, and guitarist Stacy Sutherland. The band was together from 1965 to 1969, and during that period released four albums and seven singles for the International Artists record label. Considered pioneers of psychedelic rock, the Elevators were the first band to refer to their music as such, with the first-known use of the term appearing on their business card in January 1966. The 2005 documentary '' You're Gonna Miss Me'' specifically credits Tommy Hall with coining the term "psychedelic rock". The Electric Prunes
The Electric Prunes are an American psychedelic rock band, formed in Los Angeles, California, in 1965. Much of the band's music was, as music historian Richie Unterberger described it, possessed of "an eerie and sometimes anguished ambiance." Their most successful material was by songwriters Annette Tucker and Nancie Mantz, though the group also penned their own songs. Incorporating psychedelia and elements of embryonic electronic rock, the band's sound was marked by innovative recording techniques with fuzz-toned guitars and oscillating sound effects. In addition, guitarist Ken Williams' and singer James Lowe's concept of "free-form garage music" provided the band with a richer sonic palette and exploratory lyrical structure than many of their contemporaries. Ultimate Spinach was a short-lived American psychedelic rock musical ensemble, band from Boston, Massachusetts which was formed in 1967. In terms of style and national recognition, the band was one of the most prominent musical acts to emerge from the "Bosstown Sound", which was a marketing campaign posing as a regional attempt to compete with the San Francisco Sound. James Marshall "Jimi" Hendrix (born Johnny Allen Hendrix; November 27, 1942September 18, 1970) was an American singer-songwriter and musician. The Doors

Love is an American rock music, rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1965. Led by Arthur Lee (musician), Arthur Lee, the band's primary songwriter, they were one of the first racially diverse American rock bands. Their sound incorporated an eclectic range of styles including garage rock, garage, folk rock, and psychedelia. While finding only modest success on the music charts, peaking in 1966 with their US No. 33 hit "7 and 7 Is," Love would come to be praised by critics as their third album, ''Forever Changes'' (1967), became generally regarded as one of the best albums of the 1960s.
