Montenegrin Cup
The Montenegrin Cup (Montenegrin language, Montenegrin: ''Kup Crne Gore'') is the national football cup played in Montenegro, established in 2006. The winner of the cup is awarded a spot in the first qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League if they have not already gained a spot in the UEFA Champions League. Most successful cup participant is FK Budućnost Podgorica, Budućnost with five titles. History Before independence Since 1946, Montenegrin football clubs played in the SFR Yugoslavia football system, so in the period 1947-1992 they participated in Yugoslav Cup. From 1992 to 2006, teams from Montenegro played in the Cup competition of FR Yugoslavia and Serbia and Montenegro. Most successful participant was FK Budućnost Podgorica, FK Budućnost, who played twice in the finals of Yugoslav Cup (1964–65 Yugoslav Cup, 1964-65 and 1976–77 Yugoslav Cup, 1976-77). Montenegrin Second League
The Montenegrin Second League (Montenegrin language, Montenegrin: ''Druga crnogorska fudbalska liga'' – ''Druga CFL'' – ''2. CFL'') is the second-top Association football, football league in Montenegro. It is headed by the Football Association of Montenegro. Second Montenegrin League consists of 10 participants. The top team qualifies for the First League of Montenegro, the second and third one contest in a playoff match against the 8th and 9th team from the First League, while the bottom-placed two teams are relegated to any of the three Montenegrin Third League, third-tier leagues, to be replaced by the two winners of a three-way promotion playoffs, contested by the winners of the three Third League divisions. FK Mogren
FK Mogren was a football club based in Budva, Montenegro. Founded in 1920, it was two times champion of Montenegrin First League and once winner of Montenegrin Cup. In 2015, following the bankruptcy and debts, FK Mogren was relegated to the lowest-rank competition of football in Montenegro. In March 2017, FK Mogren was expelled from South region of the Third Montenegrin league. Mogren was extiguinshed in 2017. Group of enthusiasts tried to register new club under the name Mogren 1920, but Ministry of Sports did not allow them. Instead, '' FK Budva'' was founded and started with youth sections. 2007–08 Montenegrin Cup
The 2007–08 Montenegrin Cup was the second season of the Montenegrin knockout football tournament. The winner of the tournament received a berth in the first qualifying round of the 2008–09 UEFA Cup. The defending champions were Rudar, who beat Sutjeska in the final of the 2006–07 competition. The competition featured 30 teams. It started on 2 October 2007 and ended with the final on 7 May 2008. First round The 14 matches were played on 2 and 3 October 2007. Second round The first legs were played on 24 October and the second legs were played on 7 November 2007, with the exception of the second leg match between Sutjeska and Mogren, which was postponed until 28 November 2007. Golubovci
Golubovci (, ) is a small town in the new Zeta Municipality of Montenegro. Until 2022, it was part of Podgorica Municipality. Golubovci is the seat of the new municipality. The town has 3,110 residents according to 2011 census, while the surrounding Zeta Municipality accounts for some 16,093 residents. Transport Podgorica Airport is occasionally referred to as Golubovci Airport by locals, due to its proximity to the town. Golubovci is located next to the M-2, Podgorica - Bar road ( E65/ E80), main Montenegrin road connection between the coast and northern part of the country. Part of this road went through the centre of Golubovci causing frequent traffic jams during the summer tourist season which led to construction of 4-lane dual carriageway, the Golubovci Bypass, in 2018. FK Zeta is a professional football club from Golubovci, seat of the Zeta Municipality of Montenegro. It plays in the Montenegrin Second League. The club was the inaugural champion of the Montenegrin First League in 2006–07 season. History Period 1927-1997 The club was formed in 1927 under the name ''FK Danica''. During the first decades, they played only non-league matches. From 1947, the club played under the name ''FK Napredak'', and since 1955, the team is playing under the name ''FK Zeta''. OFK Grbalj
Omladinski fudbalski klub Grbalj (, ) is a Montenegrin professional football club based in the small town of Radanovići, municipality of Kotor. They currently compete in the Montenegrin Second League. History The first football club in Radanovići, which existed only few seasons, was founded in 1970. After many years, the club was refounded in June 1995 and in their first season the team gained promotion to the Montenegrin Republic League for the 1996–97 season (third tier of the FR Yugoslavia football system). After only three seasons in the Republic League, in the summer of 1999, OFK Grbalj (''OFC Humpback'') became a member of the FR Yugoslavia Second League, which was the biggest success of the team until 2006. OFK Titograd
OFK Titograd ( Montenegrin Cyrillic: ОФК Титоград) is a professional football club based in Podgorica, Montenegro. Founded in 1951, they play in the Third League of Montenegro. The team has one league trophy and two Montenegrin Cup trophies. OFK Titograd is a member of the European Club Association. History OFK Titograd was formed in 1951 as FK Mladost. Ten years later, the team changed their name to OFK Titograd, which was the name of Podgorica from 1946 until 1992. The club renamed themselves back to Mladost in 1992. FK Berane
Fudbalski klub Berane (Cyrillic: Фудбалски клуб Беране) is a Montenegrin professional football club based in Berane. Established in 1920, the club plays in the Third League of Montenegro. History FK Berane was founded in 1920, as one of the first football clubs in Northern Montenegro and Sandžak region. In the period before World War II, they were the most successful football team from the north. During the 1920s, as other neighbouring clubs mostly played friendlies, FK Berane participated in official competitions of Montenegro. FK Mornar Bar is a Montenegro, Montenegrin professional association football, football club based in the coastal town of Bar, Montenegro, Bar, which competes in the Montenegrin First League. Fudbalski klub Sutjeska (Montenegrin Cyrillic: Фудбалски клуб Сутјеска) is a professional association football club from Nikšić, Montenegro, currently competing in the Montenegrin First League. FK Rudar Pljevlja
FK Rudar Pljevlja, commonly known as Rudar Pljevlja or simply Rudar, is a football club based in Pljevlja, Montenegro. It currently plays in the Montenegrin Second League, the country's second tier. Rudar have played in the First League since its inception in 2006, and won two league titles in 2009–10 and 2014–15. The club have been the strongest in the Montenegrin Cup, with three triumphs, one runner-up position and two semi-final finishes in the tournament's six seasons.
