Mona McCluskey
''Mona McCluskey'' (also known as ''Meet Mona McCluskey'') is an American sitcom that aired on NBC as part of its 1965-66 schedule. The series stars Juliet Prowse in the title role, and aired from September 16, 1965 to April 14, 1966. Synopsis Prowse portrayed Mona McCluskey, an actress who marries a United States Air Force sergeant, Mike McCluskey, played by Denny Scott Miller. The major premise of the show is Mona trying to balance her acting career with her marriage to Mike, who preferred that they live on his smaller Air Force salary. The series also co-stars Herbert Rudley as General Crone, Mike's boss and Robert Strauss as Sergeant Gruzewsky. Series guest stars include Med Flory, Maurice Marsac, Lee Bergere, Sal Mineo, Barry Kelley, Doris Singleton, and Darlene Patterson. Edmund Beloin
Edmund Beloin (April 1, 1910 – May 26, 1992) was an American writer of radio, film, and television. Biography Beloin was a medical student at New York University when he changed career paths and became a writer in 1931. William Morrow (screenwriter), Bill Morrow and Beloin were signed to ''The Jack Benny Program'' for the 1936–1937 season and remained for seven years. He created the character of Mr. Billingsley, Jack Benny, Benny's zany, oft-hungover boarder who frequently made ''non sequitur'' remarks. Beloin liked the character so much that he played the role. He left radio for films around June 1943. He had tried to join the United States Army, Army, but was rejected on medical grounds. He worked with Henry Garson for much of his career. Barry Kelley
Edward Barry Kelley (August 19, 1908 – June 5, 1991) was an American actor on Broadway in the 1930s and 1940s and in films during the 1940s, 1950s, and 1960s. The heavy-set actor created the role of Ike in ''Oklahoma!'' on Broadway. His large size and acting range had him playing primarily judges, detectives, and police officers. Early years The 6'4", 230-pound Kelley was born in Chicago, Illinois, and attended the Goodman School of Drama at the Art Institute of Chicago (now at DePaul University). ''CBS Thursday Night Movie'' was the network's venture into the weekly televising of then-recent theatrical films, debuting at the start of the 1965–66 United States network television schedule, 1965–1966 season, from 9:00 to 11 p.m. (Eastern Time). Unlike its two competitors (NBC and American Broadcasting Company, ABC), CBS had delayed running feature films at the behest of the network's hierarchy. Indeed, as far back as 1960, when Paramount Pictures offered a huge backlog of titles for sale to television for $50 million, James Thomas Aubrey, Jr., James T.
