Mo Chit 2 Bus Terminal
The Bangkok Bus Terminal (Chatuchak), colloquially known as Mo Chit 2 () or New Mo Chit, is one of the three main long-distance bus stations serving Greater Bangkok. It is operated by the state enterprise The Transport Co., Ltd., and serves as the main gateway to and from the northern and northeastern provinces for those travelling by bus. The station is located on Kamphaeng Phet 2 Road in Bangkok's Chatuchak District, near Queen Sirikit Park. It began operations on 8 April 1998, replacing the older Mo Chit Bus Terminal, whose location was being converted for the construction of the main BTS Skytrain depot. The station serves as many as 150,000 daily passengers, especially during the peak New Year and Songkran seasons. The Mo Chit 2 station has a total area of around 100,000 square meters. Kamphaeng Phet Road (, , ) is a road in Thailand capital Bangkok, there are currently eight branches. The road is a site of MRT Blue Line station Kamphaeng Phet MRT Station, Kamphaeng Phet. History The road was constructed in the year 1978 by Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) to connect Phaholyothin Road with Yan Phaholyothin Road and received construction assistance from the Military Battalion, 111th Mechanic, 11th Military Department of Ratchaburi Province. Krisda Arunvongse na Ayudhya () (January 9, 1932 – January 12, 2010) was a Thai politician professor and architect. He served as the Governor of Bangkok from April 19, 1992, until April 18, 1996. Education Krisda received both his bachelor's degree and his master's degree in architecture from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T). The government of France awarded him a scholarship to study architecture for six months at the École des Beaux-Arts in 1960. Career Krisda was employed in the Royal Thai Army's Public Works Department from 1957 to 1960. He held the Military rank of Captain. He competed at the 1960 Summer Olympics and the 1964 Summer Olympics as a sports shooter. From 1960 until 1989, Krisda was a professor and lecturer of architecture at Chulalongkorn University. Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal (, , ; ), also known by its former name Bang Sue Grand Station (, , ; ), is the central station of Thailand. Located along the border of Chatuchak district and Bang Sue district, it replaced the existing Hua Lamphong railway station as the country's central station, with long-distance rail services operating from here from 19 January 2023.
