Mixta Cave
Mixta Cave ( mt, L-għar ta' Mixta) is a natural cave located on the eastern side of Ramla Bay. It is very commonly confused with Calypso's Cave Calypso's Cave (Maltese: L-ghar ta' Calisso) is a natural cave, located on the western side of the Ramla bay, in Xagħra, Gozo. The cave is alleged to be the one referenced in The Odyssey as the cave where the nymph Calypso kept Odysseus ... which is located on the other side of the same bay. Ramla Bay
Ramla Bay (, "red sands") is a bay with a beach of reddish-coloured sand in Gozo, in the Maltese Islands. It lies on the north-east coast of the island, between the bays of Marsalforn and San Blas. The closest village is Xagħra. Planning permission On June 6, 2007, the Malta Environment and Planning Authority (MEPA) approved the construction of 23 villas next to Calypso Cave, despite the objection of the Superintendent of Cultural Heritage, the Labour Party, the Alternattiva Demokratika and Malta's main environmental organisation MEPA did not request an environment impact assessment for the development, leading to a call for their resignation. Calypso's Cave (Maltese: L-ghar ta' Calisso) is a natural cave, located on the western side of the Ramla bay, in Xagħra, Gozo. Nadur
Nadur ( mt, In-Nadur) is an administrative unit of Malta, located in the eastern part of the island of Gozo. Nadur is built on a plateauand is one of the largest localities in Gozo. Known as the 'second city', it spreads along a high ridge to the east of Victoria. It had a population of 4,509 as of March 2014. The word ‘Nadur’ is derived from the Arabic word ‘nadara’, which means 'lookout', pretty much having the same meaning as its motto ‘Vigilant’. The motto appears in Nadur’s coat of arms that shows the sun coming up from blue seas. The town is famous for its bakeries. Near Nadur are San Blas and Dahlet Qorrot Bays, tiny rocky bays on the North Eastern coast. These are locations for swimming, snorkelling, picnics, and trekking.
