Miss Colorado USA
Miss Colorado USA is the beauty pageant that selects the representative for the state of Colorado in the Miss USA pageant, and the name of the title held by its winner. The pageant is directed by Future Productions. Colorado's most successful placements were in 1963 and 2010, when Rhea Looney and Jessica Hartman, respectively, placed as the third runner-up. Colorado's most recent placement was in 2024, when Jessi Kalambayi placed in the Top 10. Jessi Kalambayi of Denver was crowned Miss Colorado USA on June 30, 2024 at Union Colony Civic Center in Greeley. She represented Colorado at Miss USA 2024. Miss America is an annual competition that is open to women from the United States between the ages of 18 and 28. Originating in 1921 as a "bathing beauty revue", the contest is judged on competition segments with scoring percentages: ''Private Interview'' (30%) – a 10-minute press conference-style interview with a panel of judges, ''On Stage Question'' (10%) – answering a judge's question onstage, ''Talent or HER Story'' (20%) – a performance talent or 90 second speech, ''Health and Fitness'' (20%) – demonstrated physical fitness onstage dressed in athletic wear, and ''Evening Gown'' (20%) – modeling evening-wear onstage. Miss USA 2022
Miss USA 2022 was the 71st Miss USA pageant, held at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada on 3 October 2022. At the end of the event, Elle Smith of Kentucky crowned R'Bonney Gabriel of Texas as Miss USA 2022. This was Texas' tenth Miss USA title and first win in 14 years. At the age of , Gabriel became the oldest Miss USA winner in the pageant's history, surpassing Cheslie Kryst in Miss USA 2019, 2019, who was also 28 when she crowned, and the first titleholder of Filipino-Americans, Filipino descent. Gabriel went on to win Miss Universe in New Orleans, becoming the ninth American woman to do so. Miss USA 2017 was the 66th edition of the Miss USA pageant, held at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Paradise, Nevada, on May 14, 2017. Deshauna Barber of the District of Columbia crowned her successor Kára McCullough, also of the District of Columbia, at the end of the event. Miss USA 2018 was the 67th Miss USA pageant. It was held on May 21, 2018 at the Hirsch Memorial Coliseum in Shreveport, Louisiana. The pageant was held at the same venue that was used for Miss USA 1997. Lamar, Colorado
Lamar is the home rule municipality that is the county seat and the most populous municipality of Prowers County, Colorado. The city population was 7,687 at the 2020 United States census. Miss Grand International 2022 was the 10th Miss Grand International pageant, held at the Sentul International Convention Center in Bogor, West Java, Indonesia, on 25 October 2022. Miss Grand USA, also referred to as Miss Grand United States of America, is an annual female beauty pageant in the United States, founded in 2016 by a Dominican-American businessperson, Chantel Martínez, aiming to select the country representative for Miss Grand International, which is an annual international beauty pageant promoting World Peace and against all kinds of conflicts. The Miss Grand USA organization has been franchising the state competitions to individual organizers since 2016, which in some cases are responsible for more than one state.
