Miroslav Koubek
Miroslav Koubek (born 1 September 1951) is a Czech manager and former goalkeeper, currently managing Viktoria Plzeň. He won the Czech First League with Plzeň in the 2014–15 season. Coaching career Koubek coached several Czech clubs. He led SK Kladno to the Czech Second League title in the 2005–06 season, securing the club's return to top-flight football for the first time since 1970. In the 2008–09 season, he led FC Zenit Čáslav to second place in the Czech Second League and promotion to the First League, although Čáslav eventually sold the First League license to rivals and remained in the Second League. Koubek joined FC Baník Ostrava in June 2009, leading them to third place in the 2009–10 Czech First League. The 2010–11 season however started with miserable results for Baník, with the club losing seven of the opening 13 matches, and Koubek was sacked in October. FC Viktoria Plzeň
Football Club Viktoria Plzeň () is a Czech professional Association football, football club based in Plzeň. It plays in the Czech First League, the top division of football in the country. As runner-up in the 1970–71 Czechoslovak Cup, the club competed in the following season's Cup Winners' Cup – the winner Spartak Trnava also won the championship and played in the European Cup. In 2010, Viktoria Plzeň competed in the UEFA Europa League after it won the 2009–10 Czech Cup. The 2014–15 Czech First League, known as the Synot liga for sponsorship reasons, was the 22nd season of the Czech Republic's top-tier football league and the first since it was renamed from the Gambrinus liga to the Synot liga due to a change in sponsor. Czech Supercup
The Czech Supercup () was an annual football match between the winners of the Czech First League and the Czech Cup, organised by the Czech Football Association. It was last sponsored by Synot Tip and was therefore officially known as the Synot Tip Supercup. The Czech Supercup was discontinued in 2015 and replaced by the Czech-Slovak Supercup from 2017 onward. The match was held at the home stadium of the league champion. Radio Prague
Radio Prague International () is the official international broadcasting station of the Czech Republic. Broadcasting first began on 31 August 1936 near the spa town of Poděbrady. Radio Prague broadcasts in six languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Czech and Russian. It broadcasts programmes about the Czech Republic on satellite and on the Internet. Michal Petrouš
Michal Petrouš (born 6 December 1969) is a Czech football manager and former player. He worked as a manager of Slavia Prague on two occasions and was in charge of Czech youth national teams. His younger brother Adam is also a former football player. He participated in the 1989 FIFA World Youth Championship. He was announced as the new manager of Slavia Prague in September 2010, following the resignation of Karel Jarolím. The 2011–12 Czech First League, known as the Gambrinus liga for sponsorship reasons, was the 19th season of the Czech Republic's top-tier football league. It began on 29 July 2011 and was originally due to end on 26 May 2012, although due to the Czech Republic's qualification for the UEFA Euro 2012, the end of the season was brought forward to 12 May 2012. Viktoria Plzeň were the defending champions, having won their first Czech Republic championship the previous season. The 2009–10 Czech First League, known as the Gambrinus liga for sponsorship reasons, was the seventeenth season of the Czech Republic's top-tier football. It started on 24 July 2009 and ended on 15 May 2010. Defending champions Slavia Prague could only finish seventh in the league, 21 points behind eventual winners Sparta Prague. ''Deník'' is a regional daily newspaper in the Czech Republic. History Originally owned by German publishing company Verlagsgruppe Passau (VGP), ''Deník'' has been owned by Penta Investments since 2015. VGP has a monopoly on the Czech regional press. In September 2006, regional newspapers across the Czech Republic were rebranded to ''Deník'' with a regional adjective appended, including ''Pražský deník'' (). Apart from the Prague-based version, further 72 regional newspapers were branded as part of this launch. The 2007 circulation of the paper was 328,319 copies, making it the second most read paper in the country. The circulation of ''Deník'' was 295,307 copies in 2008 and 247,987 copies in 2009.
