Mir Mugdho
Mir Mahfuzur Rahman Mugdho (; 9 October 1998 – 18 July 2024) was a Bangladeshi student, freelancer, and activist in the 2024 Bangladesh quota reform movement, 2024 quota reform movement, who was shot dead while distributing food, water and biscuits during the protest. His death is widely recognised as a pivotal point in the July Revolution (Bangladesh), July Revolution. Personal life Mugdho was born one of twins, one minute after his brother Snigdho. He had an elder brother, Dipto. Mugdho's father was a health inspector from Brahmanbaria municipality. As a child, he was a Bangladesh Scout. He played football and was planning a trip around Bangladesh at the time of his death. Mugdho obtained his bachelor's degree in mathematics from Khulna University in 2023. Uttara Model Town or simply Uttara ( ''romanised: Uttora'') is a neighbourhood of Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. The name derives from the Bengali word ''uttor'' () meaning "north". It lies on the road to Gazipur, and adjoins Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport. Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Nowfel, (born July 26, 1983) is a fugitive Bangladesh Awami League politician. He is a former minister of education and a former member the Jatiya Sangsad, from the constituency of Chittagong-9. Mohibul is regarded as one of the main perpetrators of the July massacre. He is wanted by the government of Bangladesh for crimes against humanity during the Student–People's uprising of 2024.
