Mink Nutcharut
Nutcharut Wongharuthai (, ; born 7 November 1999), better known as Mink Nutcharut, is a Thai snooker player who competes on both the professional World Snooker Tour and the World Women's Snooker Tour. She is the only woman known to have made a maximum break, having achieved the feat during a practice match in March 2019. She is, as of June 2025, number one in the world women's snooker rankings. Nutcharut was World Women's Under-21 Champion in 2018, was runner-up to Reanne Evans in the 2019 World Women's Snooker Championship, and won the first of her seven ranking titles at the 2019 Australian Women's Open. She won the 2022 World Women's Snooker Championship, defeating Wendy Jans 6–5 on the final black to become the tournament's first Thai winner. She lost the 2024 final in the against Bai Yulu. Amee Kamani (born 3 June 1992) is an Indian snooker player. She was runner-up in the 2016 International Billiards and Snooker Federation World Snooker championship, losing 0–5 in the final to the defending champion Wendy Jans. Kamani was the 2018 Asian Billiards Sports Championships Ladies ( ACBS Asian Snooker Championship) Champion after defeating Siripaporn Nuanthakhamjan 3–0 in the final, and was runner-up at the 2014 Australian Open (0–3 to Jessica Woods) and the 2019 International Billiards and Snooker Federation Women's six-reds snooker championship (2–4 against Nutcharut Wongharuthai). The International Billiards & Snooker Federation (IBSF) is an organisation that governs non-professional snooker and English billiards around the world. As of January 2020, the organisation is headquartered in Doha, Qatar. 1977 World Snooker Championship
The 1977 World Snooker Championship is a professional snooker tournament that took place from 18 to 30 April 1977 at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield. John Spencer won his third World Snooker Championship title by defeating Cliff Thorburn by 25 to 21 in the final. It was the first time the championship was held at the Crucible, which has remained as the venue for the Championship. The tournament was sponsored by cigarette manufacturer Embassy. Crucible Theatre
The Crucible Theatre, or simply The Crucible, is a theatre in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England, which opened in 1971. Its name refers to crucible steel, which was developed in Sheffield in 1740 and drove the industrialisation of the city. In addition to regular theatrical performances, the theatre also serves as a sports venue, having hosted the World Snooker Championship annually since 1977. Emma Parker (born 24 April 1999) is an English snooker player. She made her tournament debut at the 2015 Eden Masters, aged 15, and was number one in the women's under-21 world rankings as of April 2019. Her highest position in the senior rankings is sixth. She has reached three ranking semi-finals on the World Women's Snooker Tour. Ng On-yee (; born 17 November 1990) is a Hong Kong professional snooker player who has won three IBSF World Snooker Championships and three World Women's Snooker Championship, World Women's Snooker world championships. She held the number one position in the World Women's Snooker world ranking list from February 2018 to April 2019. Waratthanun Sukritthanes (; born 5 December 1993) is a snooker player from Thailand. She was the 2018 IBSF World Snooker Championship Women's Champion, and was the runner-up in 2017. Biography Sukritthanes reached the 2017 IBSF World Snooker Championship Women's final, losing 2–5 to Wendy Jans, who won the tournament for the sixth consecutive time (and seventh overall). Sukritthanes won all of her four group matches 3–0, then beat Arantxa Sanchis 4–2 and Nutcharut Wongharuthai 4–0 to reach the final, where she lost the first two to Jans before levelling at 2–2 Jans then took three frames in a row to win the title. Siripaporn Nuanthakhamjan (, born 24 May 1999), better known as Baipat Siripaporn, is a Thai snooker player. She won the 2023 World Women's Snooker Championship, which earned her a two-year tour card to the main professional World Snooker Tour for the 2023–24 and 2024–25 snooker seasons. She lost her tour card after her defeat at the 2025 World Snooker Championship qualifying rounds, but continues to compete on the World Women's Snooker tour.
