The Ministry of Defence () is a Ministry (government department), ministry in the Government of Sweden responsible for policies related to Defense (military), national defence and civil defence. The ministry is currently headed by the Minister for Defence, Pål Jonson of the Moderate Party. Ministry of Land Defence () was in a broad sense, one of the eight ministries, in which the Government of Sweden, Swedish government administration was divided into. Its head was called Minister of War. The Ministry of Land Defence Department was established on 16 May 1840 and was merged with the Ministry for Naval Affairs (Sweden), Ministry for Naval Affairs into the newly established Ministry of Defence (Sweden), Ministry of Defence on 30 June 1920. Ulf Hjalmar Kristersson (; born 29 December 1963) is a Swedish politician who has served as the Prime Minister of Sweden, prime minister of Sweden since 2022. SOS Alarm
is a Swedish publicly owned company that operates emergency number 112 in Sweden. The enterprise is owned equally by the Government of Sweden and the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions. History SOS Alarm has its origin in a state investigation regarding the rural telephone automation from 1944. There it was proposed that telephonists should remain at certain switchboard stations even if they were automated. The telephonists would then be able to connect subscribers to the doctor, police, fire brigade, and similar services. After several lengthy state investigations, it was decided in 1956 that the SOS service should be introduce. Gustav Adolfs torg is a public square in central Stockholm, Sweden. Description The square is located in the district of Norrmalm, where Strömgatan, Fredsgatan, Malmtorgsgatan and Regeringsgatan meet. The site was named after King Gustav II Adolf. In the middle of the square there is a statue of Gustav II Adolf by the French-born, Swedish sculptor Pierre Hubert L'Archevêque (1721–1778) which was erected in 1796.
