Military Intelligence Readiness Command
The United States Army Military Intelligence Readiness Command (MIRC, The MIRC, formally USAMIRC) was stood up as the first Army Reserve functional command in 2005. Headquartered at Fort Belvoir, Virginia, MIRC is composed mostly of reserve soldiers in units throughout the United States, and encompasses the bulk of Army Military Intelligence reserve units, consisting of over 40 strategic and tactical intelligence units throughout the United States. Specialized capabilities that MIRC provides include theater intelligence support, support to NSA and INSCOM, and strategic intelligence support to Combatant Commands and combat support agencies. MIRC is subordinate to United States Army Reserve Command. MIRC’s commander is Brigadier General Melissa K.G. Adamski, who departed the role of MIRC Training Support Command commander, 3 June 2023. Shoulder Sleeve Insignia
Shoulder sleeve insignia (SSI) are distinctive cloth patches worn on the left sleeve of the United States Army uniform just below the shoulder seam by soldiers assigned to divisions, corps, armies, and other specifically authorized organizations. They are also worn on the right sleeve by soldiers to indicate former overseas service with certain units during periods of U.S. military operations in hostile conditions (MOHC). Versions Colored Shoulder sleeve insignia were often designed with intricate designs including bright colors, when created. Because these bright colors and designs risk standing out when a soldier is in combat or in hiding, the shoulder sleeve insignia in its color form was commonly only worn on the dress uniform or service uniform when a soldier was not in combat. Combat Support Agency
Combat support agency (CSA) is a designation by the United States Department of Defense (DoD) of those defense agencies that provide department-level and tactical support to the U.S. military during combat operations. The designation was first outlined by the Goldwater-Nichols Department of Defense Reorganization Act of 1986, with subsequent additions based on the department's needs. 505th Military Intelligence Brigade
The 505th Military Intelligence Brigade (Theater) is a military formation of the United States Army falling under the command of United States Army North. History The 505th Military Intelligence Brigade traces its history back to 30 January 1951 when the 505th Communication Reconnaissance Group was constituted within the Organized Reserve Corps (predecessor to the Army Reserve). On 19 February 1951, the group was activated with its headquarters in Boston, Massachusetts. Fort Gordon, formerly known as Fort Eisenhower and Camp Gordon, is a United States Army installation established southwest of Augusta, Georgia in October 1941. It is the current home of the United States Army Signal Corps, United States Army Cyber Command, and the Cyber Center of Excellence as well as the National Security Agency/ Central Security Service' Georgia Cryptologic Center (NSA Georgia or NSAG). Sheridan Reserve Center
The Philip H. Sheridan Reserve Center is the former Fort Sheridan now in Lake Forest, Highwood, and Highland Park in Lake County, Illinois, United States. It was originally established as a United States Army Post named after Civil War Cavalry General Philip Sheridan, to honor his services to Chicago. When the main fort was officially closed by the Army on May 3, 1993, the majority of the property was sold by the Department of Defense to commercial land developers. Most of the original housing structures were then refurbished and resold as a residential community. Other buildings were given to cultural organizations like Midwest Young Artists, the largest youth music program in the Midwest. Joint Base McGuire–Dix–Lakehurst (JB MDL) is a United States military facility located southeast of Trenton, New Jersey. The base is the only tri-service base in the United States Department of Defense and includes units from all six armed forces branches. Parks Reserve Forces Training Area (PRFTA), commonly known as Camp Parks, is a United States Army base located in Dublin, California, that is currently an active military and training center for U.S. Army Reserve personnel to be used in case of war or natural disaster.
