Miles Kane
Miles Peter Kane (born 17 March 1986) is an English singer and musician, best known as a solo artist and the co-frontman of the Last Shadow Puppets. He was also the former frontman of the Rascals, before the band announced their break-up in August 2009. He has focused on a solo career since 2011 and remains a member of the Last Shadow Puppets (2007-present) alongside Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner. His debut solo album, '' Colour of the Trap'', was released on 9 May 2011 and the follow-up, '' Don't Forget Who You Are'' was released on 3 June 2013. Myles Kane
Myles Kane (born 1979) is an American film producer and wizard rock artist (performing under the name MC Kreacher). Film He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film from the Pratt Institute in 2001. In 2002 he co-founded the Brooklyn Underground Film Festival with Josh Koury and Cris Moris. After that, he worked at The New Yorker and, along with Kristina Budelis, produced and directed some of the magazine's first video series and documentaries. The Last Shadow Puppets
The Last Shadow Puppets are an English supergroup consisting of Alex Turner (Arctic Monkeys), Miles Kane ( the Little Flames, the Rascals), James Ford (Simian, Simian Mobile Disco), and Zach Dawes ( Mini Mansions). The Last Shadow Puppets were formed by co-frontmen, Alex Turner and Miles Kane, in 2007, after they became friends when the Little Flames supported Arctic Monkeys on tour in 2005. They bonded over their shared love of Scott Walker and David Bowie, and decided to write songs inspired by their music. They have released two records, '' The Age of the Understatement'' (2008), and following a lengthy hiatus, '' Everything You've Come to Expect'' (2016). The Dead 60s
The Dead 60s were an English ska punk band from Liverpool. The band's sound is a mixture of punk rock, ska, dub and reggae. They have taken influences from artists such as King Tubby, Jackie Mittoo, Gang of Four and A Certain Ratio. History Matt McManamon and Charlie Turner met at the Merchant Taylor's School for Boys in Crosby Liverpool and as teenagers formed a band, Rest Home. After changing their name to Pinhole, they released a four-track EP, ''122 Duke Street'', named after the address of Liverpool bar The Pit, where the band played many of its first shows. Ben Gordon and Bryan Johnson subsequently joined Pinhole in 2000. Pinhole released a second EP, "Breaking Hearts & Windows", on Thrill City Records in 2001 and a single, "So Over You" / "Morning Rain", on Too Nice Records in 2002. The Zutons
The Zutons are an English indie rock band formed in Liverpool, in 2002. The band currently consists of Dave McCabe (vocals, guitar), Abi Harding (saxophone), Jay Lewis (guitar), Neil Bradley (keyboards) and Tim Cunningham (bass). Deltasonic
Deltasonic is a British record label based in Liverpool, England. Previously joint ventured with Sony Music, it is now independent. It was formed by Alan Wills, the former drummer with Liverpool bands Shack and Top, and associated with the ' cosmic Scouse' and 'scallydelica' music scenes. History Aiming to be like Mo'Wax, Wills started his first label EVA in January 2000, primarily to release material by Joe Fearon a.k.a. Paracruzar. Wirral Peninsula
The Wirral Peninsula (), known locally as the Wirral, is a peninsula in North West England. The roughly rectangular peninsula is about long and wide, and is bounded by the Dee Estuary to the west, the Mersey Estuary to the east, and Liverpool Bay to the north. ''One Man Band'' is the fifth studio album by English rock musician Miles Kane, released on 4 August 2023 by Modern Sky. It was written by Kane in late 2022 on guitar mainly in Northern England. It was produced between December 2022 and January in Liverpool by Kane's cousin and The Coral's frontman, James Skelly, alongside guest musicians including Tom Ogden. The album artwork, is a black and white picture that depicts Kane looking outside a window. ''One Man Band'' goes back to Kane's indie rock roots. Coup De Grace (Miles Kane Album)
''Coup de Grace'' is the third studio album by English musician Miles Kane. It was released on 10 August 2018. Background Miles Kane started writing the album right after his second solo album ''Don't Forget Who You Are'' was released, but became sidetracked when he and Alex Turner resumed their writing partnership for The Last Shadow Puppets's album ''Everything You've Come to Expect''. The songs "Silverscreen", "Coup de Grace" and "Shavambacu" were written in New York. However, according to Kane, he got stuck in a rut while in Los Angeles and "couldn't finish anything" following a break-up. In 2017, he went to an acoustic gig by Jamie T, whom he knew for many years. Afterwards he stayed with Jamie T in a hotel and the two started to write songs together, including "Nothing Changes".
