Mikocheni (''Kata ya Mikocheni'', in Swahili) is an administrative ward in Kinondoni District of the Dar es Salaam Region in Tanzania. The Kawe and Msasani form the north and east boundaries of the ward, respectively. The ward is bordered to the south by the Kinondoni and Mwananyamala. The Hubert Kairuki Memorial University (HKMU) is a private medical university located in Mikocheni ward of Kinondoni District of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The National Museum of Tanzania (NMT), (Swahili: ''Makumbusho ya Taifa''), is a consortium of several Tanzanian museums whose purpose is to preserve and show objects from the history and natural environment of Tanzania. Zaramo People
The Zaramo people, also referred to as Dzalamo or Saramo (''Wazaramo'', in Swahili), are a Bantu ethnic group native to the central eastern coast of Tanzania, particularly the Dar es Salaam Region and Pwani Region. Kinondoni District, officially the Kinondoni Municipal Council (''Halimashauri ya Manispaa ya Kinondoni'', in Swahili language, Swahili) is one of five Districts of Tanzania, districts of the Dar es Salaam Region of Tanzania.
