Michael Levitt (born 19 June 2003) is a Dutch cricketer. International career In May 2023, he was selected to the national side for the 2023 Cricket World Cup Qualifier. In February 2024, he was named in Dutch's squad for their One Day International (ODI) series 2024 Nepal Tri-Nation Series (round 1), against the host Nepal and Namibia for the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2, League 2 matches, and in T20I squad for the 2024 Nepal Tri-Nation Series (round 1)#T20I series, 2024 Nepal Tri-Nation Series. He made his ODI debut on 17 February 2024, for Netherlands national cricket team, Netherlands against the Nepal national cricket team, Nepal in Kirtipur. He made his Twenty20 International (T20I) debut against Nepal on 28 February 2024. In May 2024, he was named in the Netherlands squad for the 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup tournament. One Day International
One Day International (ODI) is a format of cricket, played between two teams with international status, in which each team faces a fixed number of fifty overs, with the game lasting up to 7 hours. The World Cup, generally held every four years, is played in this format. They are major matches and considered the highest standard of List A, limited-overs competition. The international one-day game is a late-twentieth-century development. The first ODI was played on 5 January 1971 between Australia and England at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. When the first three days of the third Test were washed out officials decided to abandon the match and, instead, play a one-off one day game consisting of 40 eight-ball overs per side. ICC Men's T20 World Cup
The ICC Men's T20 World Cup, formerly the ICC World Twenty20, is a biennial world cup for cricket in Twenty20 International (T20I) format, organised by the International Cricket Council (ICC). It was held in every odd year from 2007 to 2009, and since 2010 has been held in every even year with the exception of 2018 and 2020. In 2018, the tournament was rebranded from World Twenty20 to Men's T20 World Cup. The 2011 edition of the tournament was brought forward to 2010 to replace the ICC Champions Trophy. Twenty20 International
Twenty20 International (T20I) is a form of Twenty20 cricket, in which each team plays a single innings with a maximum of twenty overs. The matches are played between international teams recognized by the International Cricket Council (ICC). In the T20I format, each bowler is restricted to a maximum of four overs. A mandatory powerplay is taken during the first six overs of an innings. The first T20I match took place on 17 February 2005 between Australia and New Zealand, with the first ICC T20 World Cup held in 2007. ICC Cricket World Cup League 2
The ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2 is an international cricket competition contested in the One Day International format and the second level of the three-league (now two leagues) Cricket World Cup qualification system which was introduced in 2019. Seven teams participate and either directly advance to the ICC World Cup Qualifier, World Cup Qualifier or advance to the World Cup Qualifier Play-off for another chance to enter the Qualifier. Two teams from the Qualifier qualify for the next Cricket World Cup. 2024 Nepal Tri-Nation Series (round 1)
The 2024 Nepal Tri-Nation Series was the first round of the 2024–2026 ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 cricket tournament took place in Nepal in February 2024. The tri-nation series was contested by the men's national teams of Namibia, Nepal and Netherlands. The matches were played as One Day International (ODI) fixtures.
