Michael Cox (New Zealand Politician)
Michael Ernest Christopher Cox (born 10 May 1939) is a former New Zealand politician of the New Zealand National Party, National Party. Biography Cox was born in 1939 at Oxford, England. He was in the British Merchant Navy, and was a chief officer with the Union Company, Union Steam Ship Company before becoming a chartered accountant in Palmerston North. He represented the Manawatu (New Zealand electorate), Manawatu electorate in Parliament from to 1987, when he was defeated by David Robinson (New Zealand politician), David Robinson. From 1981 to 1985 he was Junior Whip for the party. He was an opponent of National's then leader Robert Muldoon and was an organiser in the Colonels' Coup, an abortive attempt to remove him from the leadership of the party. In 1984 Cox was appointed Shadow Minister of Revenue by Muldoon. In 1985 he was additionally given the Customs portfolio by new leader Jim McLay. Cox was a key supporter of McLay and became his "numbers man" in the caucus. ...

Michael E. Cox (born March 1947) is a British academic and international relations scholar. He is currently Emeritus Professor of International Relations at the London School of Economics (LSE) and Director of LSE IDEAS. He also teaches for the TRIUM Global Executive MBA Program, an alliance of NYU Stern and the London School of Economics and HEC School of Management. Coal Chamber is an American nu metal band formed by Dez Fafara and Meegs Rascón in Los Angeles in 1992, initially under the name She's in Pain. The original lineup also consisted of bassist Rayna Foss and drummer Jon Tor. Mike Cox replaced Tor on drums in 1995, and the Coal Chamber lineup was complete. After signing to Roadrunner Records, they released their debut album, ''Coal Chamber'', in 1997. Michael James Cox (born 19 March 1940) is a British-born former pop singer and actor. As Michael Cox, he had a top-ten hit on the UK singles chart in 1960 with "Angela Jones", produced by Joe Meek. Michael Douglas Cox (born March 12, 1965) is an American football coach and former player. He was most recently the defensive coordinator at the University of Texas at El Paso. Michael Anthony Cox (born December 30, 1961) is an American attorney and politician who served as Michigan's 52nd Attorney General from 2003 to 2011. He was the first Republican to hold that office since Frank Millard in 1955. Cox took office in 2003 and won re-election in 2006.
