Metrolina Library Association
The Metrolina Library Association exists to connect and sharpen Charlotte, North Carolina area library professionals. The MLA was established in 1969 and continues to be active in the Charlotte community. Catawba County ( ) is a county in the U.S. state of North Carolina. As of the 2020 census, the population was 160,610. Its county seat is Newton, and its largest community is Hickory. The county is part of the Hickory-Lenoir-Morganton, NC Metropolitan Statistical Area. History Catawba County, formed in 1842 from Lincoln County, was named after the Catawba River.
