Mayra Gil
Mayra Gil Ramírez (born 13 December 2003) is a Mexican professional basketball player for the Freseras de Irapuato of the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional Femenil (LNBPF). She has also represented the Mexico women's national team. Early life and amateur career Gil was born on 13 December 2003, in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico, where she began playing basketball on the outside courts at the age of seven. Her younger sister, María, is also a basketball player. Gil was trained in the youth academy of local club Marineras de Puerto Vallarta, who she represented at the 2019 Copa Vallarta Internacional de Baloncesto. Following the 2022 professional season, Gil joined the Universidad Modelo women's basketball team, which was newly promoted to Division I of the . Mitch Thompson
Mitch Thompson is a baseball coach and former player, who is the current head baseball coach of the Baylor Bears. He played college baseball at Cloud County Community College in 1984, transferring to Bacone College in 1985, before ultimately transferring to Fort Hays State where he played from 1986 to 1988. He served as the head coach of the McLennan Highlanders (2013–2022). Playing career Thompson grew up in Goodland, Kansas. He attended Cloud County Community College as a freshman. Lindsey Marcie Harding (born June 12, 1984) is an American professional basketball coach and former player. She is an assistant coach for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The 2026 FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup Pre-Qualifying Tournaments were held from 19 to 25 August 2024 in Mexico City, Mexico and Kigali, Rwanda. The winner of each tournament qualified for the 2026 FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup Qualifying Tournaments. Creation On 2 February 2022, FIBA announced a new tournament that acted as pre qualifiers for the next Olympics or World Cup.
