Maximilian Arfsten
Maximilian Michael Arfsten (born April 19, 2001) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a wing-back for Major League Soccer club Columbus Crew and the United States national team. Early years Youth Arfsten attended San Joaquin Memorial High School. In 2016, he posted 21 goals, 11 assists and earned all-league first team honors. He ended his junior season with All-CMAC first team recognition and league MVP honors by posting 20 goals and 21 assists. He helped the team win the league and Central Section championships that year, also earning all-league first team honors for the third straight season, and captured league MVP accolades for the second year in a row after ending his final season with 50 goals and 20 assists. 2024 CONCACAF Champions Cup
The 2024 CONCACAF Champions Cup was the 59th season of the North, Central America, and the Caribbean's premier club Association football, football tournament organized by CONCACAF, and the first since it was rebranded as the CONCACAF Champions Cup. This was the first season under a new format featuring 27 teams and a five-round knockout phase. C.F. Pachuca, Pachuca won their sixth title, defeating Columbus Crew of Major League Soccer, MLS in the 2024 CONCACAF Champions Cup final, final 3–0. The CONCACAF Champions Cup, formerly known as CONCACAF Champions League (2008–2023), is an international association football competition organized by CONCACAF as its top continental tournament for clubs from North America, Central America, and the Caribbean. The champions automatically qualify for the FIFA Club World Cup and the FIFA Intercontinental Cup. The tournament currently uses a knockout format; it had a group stage prior to the 2018 edition. The 2024 Leagues Cup was the fourth edition of the Leagues Cup, an international club soccer tournament contested by Major League Soccer (MLS) and Liga MX clubs in North America. It was held from July 26 to August 25, 2024, with all 77 matches played in Canada and the United States. Columbus Crew won the tournament after defeating Los Angeles FC in the final at Lower.com Field in Columbus, Ohio. The three highest-placing teams qualified for the 2025 CONCACAF Champions Cup, with Columbus Crew qualifying directly to the tournament's round of 16 stage.
