Maxime Mokom
Maxime Jeoffroy Eli Mokom Gawaka (born 30 December 1978) is a former minister of disarmament in the Central African Republic, and leader of Anti-balaka, who was arrested in 2022 and charged with war crimes. Biography Mokom was born on 30 December 1978. In 2013, he was one of the co-founders of militant movement Anti-balaka. From 2013 to 2014, he committed multiple war crimes. On 10 December 2018, he was publicly indicted by International Criminal Court for murder, extermination, deportation or forcible transfer and displacement of civilian population, imprisonment or other severe deprivation of physical liberty, torture, persecution, enforced disappearance of persons, mutilation, intentionally directing attacks against the civilian population, intentionally directing attacks against buildings dedicated to religion, pillaging, enlistment of children under age 15 and destruction of the adversary’s property. Bangui (; or Bangî in Sango language, Sango, formerly written Bangi in English) is the Capital (political), capital and List of cities in the Central African Republic, largest city of the Central African Republic. The Anti-balaka (''anti-machete'') is an alliance of militia groups based in the Central African Republic in the early 21st century said by ''the Guardian'' to be composed primarily of Christians, but also some Muslims. François Bozizé
François Bozizé Yangouvonda (born 14 October 1946) is a Central African Republic, Central African politician who was List of heads of state of the Central African Republic, President of the Central African Republic from 2003 to 2013. He was the only Central African Republic, Central African president born in modern-day Gabon. Bozizé rose to become a high-ranking army officer in the 1970s, under the rule of Jean-Bédel Bokassa. After Bokassa was ousted, Bozizé served in the government as Minister of Defense from 1979 to 1981 and as Minister of Information from 1981 to 1982. Aaron Wilibona (or Ouilibona) alias "Coxis" is a former Central African representative, military commander of Anti-balaka, suspected of killing French journalist Camille Lepage. Life He is a cousin of former president François Bozizé and a younger brother of Maxime Mokom. He used to be a chieff of staff of two ministers under the regime of Patassé and Bozizé.
