Matthew Dallow
Matthew Dallow (born 27 January 1972) is a New Zealand bobsledder. He competed in the two man event at the 2006 Winter Olympics. He turned to bobsleigh after successive injuries forced him to give up his career in the decathlon and in rugby. Injury also prevented him at the last minute from competing in the 2002 Olympics. Ross Philip Dallow (4 December 1937 – 20 July 2020) was a senior member of the New Zealand Police who had an important influence on improved race relations in Auckland. The decathlon is a combined event in athletics consisting of ten track and field events. The word "decathlon" was formed, in analogy to the word "pentathlon", from Greek δέκα (''déka'', meaning "ten") and ἄθλος (''áthlos'', or ἄθλον, ''áthlon'', meaning "contest" or “prize”).
