Matt Boldy
Matthew Edward Boldy (born April 5, 2001) is an American professional ice hockey forward who is currently playing with the Minnesota Wild of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was drafted 12th overall by the Wild in the first round of the 2019 NHL entry draft. Early life Boldy was born on April 5, 2001, to parents Todd Boldy and Jennifer Gruttadauria. His father, Todd, was a football player at the University of Maine and currently serves as a member of the Attleboro Police Department. He was born in Millville, but his family moved to Millis when Boldy was in the fourth grade. Growing up, Todd encouraged Matthew and his brother Michael to play hockey instead of football due to limited options in Millis, Massachusetts. Millis, Massachusetts
Millis is a town in Norfolk County in the U.S. state of Massachusetts. It had a population of 8,460 at the 2020 census. The town is approximately southwest of downtown Boston and is bordered by Norfolk, Sherborn, Holliston, Medfield, and Medway. Massachusetts state routes 109 and 115 run through Millis. NHL Central Scouting Bureau
The NHL Central Scouting Services (CSS) is a department within the National Hockey League (NHL) that ranks prospects for the NHL entry draft at specific times during the hockey season. Players are ranked based on how well they will translate to the professional game in the NHL. It was founded by hockey executive Jack Button in 1975, to establish a centralized database of NHL prospects. Button served as the director until 1979. Its current director is Dan Marr. The Department consists of staff at the NHL Offices in Toronto, along with eight full-time scouts, and fifteen part-time scouts throughout North America. 2020–21 NCAA Division I Men's Ice Hockey Season
The 2020–21 NCAA Division I men's ice hockey season began on November 14, 2020, and concluded with the Frozen Four on April 10, 2021. Due to the cancellation of the previous year's tournament due to COVID-19 pandemic, this was the 73rd season in which an NCAA ice hockey championship was held, and was US college hockey's 127th year overall. Due to concerns related to the pandemic, the start of the season was delayed until what would have normally been the 8th week of play. Despite having to contend with contend with cancellations and delays due to the pandemic, the season was completed. Massachusetts won their first national championship, ending the 4-year run of NCHC teams.
