María Regla Prío
María Regla Prío Socarrás (October 11, 1909 in Cuba – December 2005 in Miami, Florida USA) was a member of the Cuban House of Representatives (1948–1952) and the sister of Cuban President, Carlos Prío Socarrás. She was married to Dr. Enrique C. Henriquez Lauranzon. The Congress of Cuba () was the legislature of Cuba from 20 May 1902 until the Cuban Revolution of 1959. The Congress consisted of the 130-member Chamber of Representatives (''Cámara de Representantes'') and the 54-member Senate (''Senado'') in December 1958. The first Cuban Congress met for the first time on May 5, 1902. Generally, Congress held at least two sessions during a given year. Carlos Prío Socarrás
Carlos Manuel Prío Socarrás (; July 14, 1903 – April 5, 1977) was a Cuban politician. He served as the President of Cuba from 1948 until he was deposed by a military coup led by Fulgencio Batista on March 10, 1952, three months before new elections were to be held. He was the first president of Cuba to be born in an independent Cuba and the last to gain his post through universal, contested elections. He went into exile in the United States, where he lived for 25 years before dying by suicide at age 73. Governance In 1940, Prío was elected senator of Pinar del Río Province. Caballero Rivero Woodlawn North Park Cemetery And Mausoleum
Caballero Rivero Woodlawn Park North Cemetery and Mausoleum is one of the oldest cemeteries in Miami, Florida. Woodlawn Park Cemetery–North was established in 1913 by three pioneers in Miami's early history – Thomas O. Wilson, William N. Urmey and Clifton D. Benson. The Woodlawn group of cemeteries grew throughout the years, and funeral homes were added as well. The founders imported rare tropical trees and shrubs to adorn the cemetery, including the first schefflera (umbrella trees) and mahogany trees brought to the United States. History Woodlawn Park in 1926 commissioned a noted mausoleum architect, McDonald Lovell, to design a mausoleum for the park. The present building covers more than a city block, accented with marble, stained glass, and hand-wrought bronze gates. The cemetery contains 13 British Commonwealth war graves of World War II, comprising one British and two New Zealand airmen, and ten Royal Navy personnel.
