Martin Dodd is a Danish-born music executive. Dodd is a former Sony Music International senior VP of worldwide A&R. Career Dodd began as a 17-year-old in the Danish label Mega Records. Here he worked himself up until his first in 1990 signed a contract with Ace of Base, which sold over 30 million records. Dodd has also done television concepts, some with John de Mol Johannes Hendrikus Hubert "John" de Mol Jr. is a Dutch media proprietor. ''Fame Academy'' was a British television talent competition to search for and educate new musical talents. The winner would receive a chance to become a successful music artist and part of the international franchise ''Star Academy'' known under various titles in various countries. In the UK version, the prize consisted of a £1m recording contract with a major record company, plus the use of a luxury apartment in London and a sports car for one year. It was broadcast by the BBC and co-produced by an Endemol company called Initial. ''The Voice'' is an international reality television singing competition franchise originally created by Dutch producer John de Mol Jr. and Dutch singer Roel van Velzen.
