Marshall Rifai
Marshall Rifai (born March 16, 1998) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman currently playing with the Toronto Marlies in the American Hockey League (AHL) as a prospect to the Toronto Maple Leafs of the National Hockey League (NHL). He is of Syrian descent. Playing career Growing up in the Montreal area, Rifai played junior hockey in the Quebec youth systems. Although Rifai had hoped to enter the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League when he reached the 16-year old eligibility requirement, he recognized that he was unlikely to be drafted as an undersized tall player, and instead opted to enroll in Hotchkiss School in Connecticut, where he continued to play hockey. Playing two years at Hotchkiss, Rafai experienced a growth spurt; in light of this, he went undrafted in his debut class of the National Hockey League (NHL)'s 2016 draft. Beaconsfield, Quebec
Beaconsfield is a suburb on the Island of Montreal, Quebec, Canada, part of the Greater Montreal region locally referred to as the West Island. Des Moines Buccaneers
The Des Moines Buccaneers are a Tier I junior ice hockey team in the United States Hockey League (USHL). The team has played in the Western Conference since the 2009–10 season. History The Buccaneers began USHL play during the 1980–81 season and have played all their home games at Buccaneer Arena located in Urbandale, Iowa, outside of Des Moines. The Buccaneers have won four Anderson Cup championships (1993–94, 1994–95, 1997–98 and 1998–99) and four Clark Cup championships (1992, 1995, 1999 and 2006) in their history. The Buccaneers also won three Gold Cups (in 1992, 1995, and 1998) for the Junior A National Championship awarded prior USA Hockey's 2001 realignment that shifted the USHL to Tier I status. William Lagesson
William Lagesson (born 22 February 1996) is a Swedish professional ice hockey defenceman for the Detroit Red Wings of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was selected in the fourth round, 91st overall, by the Edmonton Oilers in the 2014 NHL entry draft. Conor Timmins (born September 18, 1998) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman for the Pittsburgh Penguins of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was selected by the Colorado Avalanche, 32nd overall, in the 2017 NHL entry draft. Playing career Junior Timmins played minor midget with the Southern Tier Admirals of the South-Central Triple A Hockey League. He was selected in the 4th round (79th overall) of the 2014 Ontario Hockey League, OHL Priority Selection by the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds. Timmins started his first season of junior hockey with the Thorold Blackhawks of the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League before being traded to the St. Catharines Falcons (1968–), St. Catharines Falcons.
