Marsa Zayed
Marsa Zayed is a $10 billion redevelopment project in Aqaba, Jordan. Named after Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the project consists of high-rise, hotels, retail, residential, entertainment and financial districts. The first phases consists of a residential town and a mosque, which are almost completed. The second phase was part on hold in 2018 while relocation of the Port of Aqaba takes place. Aqaba
Aqaba ( , ; , ) is the only coastal city in Jordan and the largest and most populous city on the Gulf of Aqaba. Situated in southernmost Jordan, Aqaba is the administrative center of the Aqaba Governorate. The city had a population of 148,398 in 2015 and a land area of . Jordan, officially the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, is a country in the Southern Levant region of West Asia. Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan
Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan (; 6 May 1918 – 2 November 2004) was an Emirati royal, politician, philanthropist and the founder of the United Arab Emirates. Zayed served as the governor of Eastern Region from 1946 until he became the ruler of Abu Dhabi in 1966, and served as the first president of the United Arab Emirates from its independence on 2 December 1971. He retained his position as Abu Dhabi's ruler from 1971 until his death in 2004. He is revered in the United Arab Emirates as the ''Waalid al-Ummah'' (" Father of the Nation"), credited for being the principal driving force behind the unification of the United Arab Emirates. The Port of Aqaba is the only port in Jordan, and is owned by Aqaba Development Corporation (ADC) and has 12 terminals operated by five operators: the Aqaba Company for port management and operation; Aqaba Container Terminal; Industrial Port Company; phosphate Company; National Electricity power Company, and the pilotage operated by Aqaba Port Marine Services Company .
