Marrina Smallwood is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. She is a member of Alpha Flight and an honorary member of the Avengers. Publication history Marrina Smallwood first appeared in ''Alpha Flight'' #1 (August 1983) and was created by John Byrne. Byrne has clarified that Marrina was created after the ''Alpha Flight'' title was greenlit, and was not a character he had thought up earlier. Alpha Flight is a fictional team of Canadian superheroes appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The characters premiered in ''The Uncanny X-Men'' #120 (April 1979), and were created to serve as part of the X-Men member Wolverine's backstory.
