Mark Mangold
Mark Mangold is an American pop music, pop singer-songwriter, producer and keyboardist. A member of the band Touch (1980s band), Touch, as a songwriter Mangold's songs have been performed by Michael Bolton, Cher and Jordin Sparks, Paul Rodgers, Jennifer Rush and Laura Branigan. Career Mangold was born in Miami and grew up on Long Island. He performed in Long Island bands Valhalla and American Tears before forming Touch (1980s band), Touch in 1978, along with fellow American Tears members Glen Kithcart and Craig Brooks. Touch charted with two Mangold-penned singles, “(Call Me) When the Spirit Moves You” in 1980 and “Don't You Know What Love Is” in 1981. Album-oriented rock (AOR, originally called album-oriented radio) is an FM radio format created in the United States in the late 1960s that focuses on the full repertoire of rock albums and is currently associated with classic rock. US radio stations dedicated to playing album tracks by rock artists from the hard rock and progressive rock genres initially established album-oriented radio. In the mid-1970s, AOR was characterized by a layered, mellifluous sound and sophisticated production with considerable dependence on melodic hooks. The AOR format achieved tremendous popularity in the late 1960s to the early 1980s through research and formal programming to create an album rock format with great commercial appeal. Billy Greer (born January 26, 1952) is an American musician who was the bass guitarist for the rock band Kansas from 1985 to 2024. He joined the band when they reformed, making his debut appearance on 1986's '' Power''. He had previously worked with Kansas keyboardist/vocalist Steve Walsh in the band Streets, and works with his own band Seventh Key when not performing with Kansas. Randy Jackson (born February 28, 1955) is an American musician, best known as frontman for the rock band Zebra. He was born and raised in New Orleans. In addition to his career with Zebra, he is a Long Island Music Hall of Fame inductee, a Louisiana Music Hall of Fame inductee, and has toured with Jefferson Airplane and tributes to Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and The Doors.
