Mark Flewin
Air Vice-Marshal Mark Robert Flewin, is a senior Royal Air Force who currently serves as Air Officer Commanding No. 1 Group RAF, headquartered at RAF High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire. RAF career From 1 September 1996 to 1 September 1997, Flewin held a one-year commission in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve as an acting pilot officer. He then graduated from university with a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree. He was commissioned in the Royal Air Force (RAF) as a pilot officer on 5 April 1998. He underwent pilot training and was posted to fly the Jaguar. After qualifying as a weapons instructor, he undertook a number of operational tours, including deployment to enforce the no-fly zones over Iraq. Air Vice-Marshal Ian W. Duguid, (born 1 December 1966) is a retired senior Royal Air Force officer, whose final post was as Air Officer Commanding No. 1 Group RAF, headquartered at RAF High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire. Duguid was a Harrier pilot and Typhoon Force Commander before assuming the role of the Air Officer Commanding of No. 11 Group, which he served as from 2018 to November 2021. The Higher Command and Staff Course is a staff course for senior military officers of the United Kingdom armed forces and allies. It is taught at the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom in Shrivenham, Oxfordshire, United Kingdom.
