Mark Davis (fisherman)
Mark Davis (born October 11, 1963) is a professional sport fisherman of the Bass Anglers Sportsman Society (B.A.S.S.) and is one of only two anglers to have won the B.A.S.S. Angler of the Year and the Bassmasters Classic tournament in the same year. Biography Davis was born in Mount Ida, Arkansas. He has competed in 234 tournaments, and had five first-place finishes and forty-five top ten finishes. Mount Ida is a city in and county seat of Montgomery County, Arkansas, United States. Founded in 1842, the city saw a silver boom in the 1880s bring early prosperity and economic development to the area. A fishing tournament, or derby, is an organised competition among anglers. Fishing tournaments typically take place as a series of competitive events around or on a clearly defined body of water with specific rules applying to each event. is a fishing video game developed by Natsume Inc. for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. The game features Mark Davis' voice. It became a cult video game due to its difficulty level and attention to detail about lures and weather effects. A sequel, ''Mark Davis Pro Bass Challenge'', was released in 2003 for PlayStation 2 and 2005 for GameCube. Gameplay Only catching black bass is allowed. The Bassmaster Classic (known as the Academy Sports + Outdoors Bassmaster Classic for sponsorship) is a tournament in the sport of professional bass fishing. It was first held in 1971 on Lake Mead, Nevada. Originally it was a fall event, (1971-1983) but it switched to a summer event in 1984 and then to a late winter event in 2006.
