Marios Oikonomou ( el, Μάριος Οικονόμου; born 6 October 1992) is a Greek professional footballer who plays as a centre-back. Club career PAS Giannina Born in Ioannina, Oikonómou began playing football with PAS Giannina. He signed his first professional contract in January 2011. On 14 November 2012, he made his debut for the Greece U21 in a friendly match against Austria U21. He made 23 appearances for the club in all competitions. Marios Garoyian ( el, Μάριος Καρογιάν; hy, Մարիոս Կարոյեան; born 31 May 1961) is a Greek Cypriot politician. He served as leader of the Democratic Party from 2006 to 2013. On 06/03/2008, he was elected President of the House of Representatives of Cyprus, thereby holding the highest elected post currently held by an Armenian outside of Armenia. Early life Garoyian was born in Nicosia. He studied political science at the University of Perugia. He has one son and one daughter. He speaks Greek, English, Italian and Spanish fluently. He is of half Armenian and half Latin descent. Marios Vrousai ( el, Μάριος Βρουσάι; born 2 July 1998) is a Greek professional footballer who plays as a winger for Super League club Olympiacos and the Greece national team. Marios Tokas
Marios Tokas ( el, Μάριος Τόκας) (8 June 1954 – 27 April 2008) was a Cypriot composer of traditional music born in Limassol, Cyprus. During the 1974 invasion, he fought as a soldier against the Turkish invaders. In 1975, he went to Athens in order to study in the philosophical school. At the same time, he studied in the Ethniko Odio because he wanted to start a career as a musician. In 2004, Tokas and his six-member orchestra gave a concert in Vienna. The concert was co-organised by the Greek Society of Austria and the Athens Sports Association "Pantalkis" with the support of the General Secretariat of Hellenism Abroad of the Greek Foreign Ministry, under the auspices of the Cypriot ambassador to Austria. Death On 27 April 2008, Tokas died of cancer in Athens. Cypriot president Dimitris Christofias had visited him in the hospital towards the end of his life. Marios Elia (; born April 14, 1979, in Nicosia) is a retired Cypriot professional footballer and manager of the restaurant Ivory in Nicosia. Career Marios Elia spent almost his entire career playing for APOEL, where he won 7 Championships, 4 Cups, 6 Super Cups and appeared in four official 2009–10 UEFA Champions League group stage matches in APOEL's first UEFA Champions League participation. Marios Loizides (1928–1988) was a Greek Cypriot visual artist. Life Loizides was born in Nicosia, Cyprus. he studied painting and lithography at St. Martin's School of Art, London, between 1951-4, together with courses in stage and costume design. He later worked in London for a number of years as a graphic artist and designer. He moved to Greece in 1958 and, working exclusively as a painter, lived on the island of Hydra from 1961 until his death in 1988.
