Maria Beatrice Alonzi is an Italian author and producer. Stage and broadcast career After performing on various web and television programs such as ''Sex & Soccer'', in 2015 she began creating one-woman live comedy shows on the Periscope app. She has served as the executive producer of Teatro Stabile di Roma, where she has co-created stage pieces that combine elements of escape rooms and a stage play in 2018. She has also performed in improvisational shows such as ''Teatro ef*ga'', as well as a solo stand-up show entitled ''Stand Up Baby'' in 2019. Periscope was an American live video streaming app for Android and iOS developed by Kayvon Beykpour and Joe Bernstein and acquired by Twitter, Inc. before its launch in March 2015. The service was discontinued on 31 March 2021 due to declining usage, product realignment, and high maintenance costs. However, Periscope videos can still be watched via Twitter, now called X, and most of its core features are now incorporated into the app. History Beykpour and Bernstein came up with the idea for Periscope while traveling abroad in 2013.
