Marcos Sampaio Olsen
Marcos Sampaio Olsen (born 8 March 1961) is a Brazilian navy admiral, incumbent Brazilian Navy Commander. He joined the military career in 1979 and was declared Gardes de la Marine, Guard of the Navy in 1982. Olsen acted as commander of minesweeper NV Atalaia (M-17) and submarine Brazilian submarine Tapajó (S-33), S ''Tapajó'' and as chief mate of submarine Brazilian submarine Tamoio (S-31), S ''Tamoio'' and aircraft carrier Brazilian aircraft carrier São Paulo, NAe ''São Paulo''. In 2011, Olsen was promoted to counter admiral and assumed many offices in the Navy. In December 2017, Olsen was responsible of the General Management of Nuclear and Technological Development of the Navy, responsible for planning and coordination of all activities related to the development of nuclear technology. Tomás Miguel Miné Ribeiro Paiva (born 29 September 1960) is a Brazilian army general, incumbent commander of the Brazilian Army. The order of precedence in Brazil is a symbolic hierarchy of officials used to direct protocol. It is regulated by Presidential Decree number 70.274 of March 9, 1972, signed by former President Emilio Medici. The following order applies to ceremonies hosted by the federal government. This formal order of precedence was established during the military dictatorship, and hasn't been amended after the country's return to democracy in the 1980s. However, changes have informally been introduced to it, so that the ''de jure'' precedence no longer corresponds to the ''de facto'' arrangements that prevail in current practice.
