Marcos Baghdatis
Marcos Baghdatis (Greek language, Greek: Μάρκος Παγδατής, Arabic language, Arabic: ماركوس بغداتيس); born 17 June 1985 is a Greek Cypriot former professional tennis player and coach. He was the runner-up at the 2006 Australian Open – Men's singles, 2006 Australian Open and a semifinalist at the 2006 Wimbledon Championships – Men's singles, 2006 Wimbledon Championships, and reached a career-high Association of Tennis Professionals, ATP singles ATP rankings, ranking of world No. 8 in August 2006. The 2016 US Open was the 136th edition of tennis' US Open, the fourth and final Grand Slam event of the year. The Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) is the governing body of the men's professional tennis circuits – the ATP Tour and the ATP Challenger Tour. It was formed in September 1972 by Donald Dell, Jack Kramer, and Cliff Drysdale to protect the interests of professional tennis players, and Drysdale became the first president. Karolina Šprem Baghdatis (born 25 October 1984) is a former professional tennis player from Croatia. She won eleven titles (ten singles), all at the ITF level. Her highest ranking is world No. 17, achieved in October 2004. Personal life Karolina was born to Gabro and Božena Šprem in Varaždin, SFRY. She was introduced to tennis by her father at nine years of age. She turned professional in July 2001. The Mouratoglou Tennis Academy is a tennis academy and training center in Biot, Alpes-Maritimes, France. Originally named the Bob Brett Academy, it was founded in 1996 by Patrick Mouratoglou and Bob Brett. History In 1996, Patrick Mouratoglou convinced veteran coach Bob Brett to start a tennis academy together in Montreuil, originally named the Bob Brett Academy.
