Marco Zandron
Marco Zandron (born 30 September 1998) is an Italian-Spanish figure skater who currently represents Spain. With his skating partner, Laura Barquero, he is the 2021 CS Nebelhorn Trophy silver medalist and the 2021 Spanish national champion. With his former partner, Federica Zamponi, competing for Italy, he is the 2020 Italian junior national silver medalist. As a single skater for Italy, he is the 2017 Egna Spring Trophy champion and competed on the ISU Junior Grand Prix circuit. Personal life Zandron was born on September 30, 1998, in Bolzano, Italy. His older brother, Maurizio, competes for Austria in men's singles. As of September 2021, he is a student at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore. 2022 European Figure Skating Championships
The 2022 European Figure Skating Championships were held from 10 to 16 January 2022 in Tallinn, Estonia. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, women's singles, pairs, and ice dance. The competition determined the entry quotas for each federation at the 2023 European Championships. Figure Skating At The 2022 Winter Olympics – Qualification
The following is about the qualification rules and allocation of spots for the figure skating events at the 2022 Winter Olympics. Qualification system A total of 144 quota spots are available to athletes to compete at the games. A maximum of 18 athletes can be entered by a National Olympic Committee, with a maximum of 9 men or 9 women. There is also an "Additional Athletes Quota" which allows up to a maximum of 5 more total skaters, bringing the potential total to 149. The host (China) is the priority for these additional places so that if they have met minimum standards they may have an entry in each event, other than the team event. If unused, these five quotas can be used to qualify nations for the team event if they only need an entry in one more discipline. Matteo Guarise (born 15 September 1988) is an Italian pairs figure skater and roller skater. Guarise is the 2008 World champion in pairs roller skating with Sara Venerucci. With his former figure skating partner Nicole Della Monica, he is a seven-time Italian national champion (2016–22). The pair have represented Italy at the 2014, 2018 and 2022 Winter Olympics. With her former partner Matteo Guarise, she is a seven-time Italian national champion (2016–22) and has represented Italy at the 2014, 2018 and 2022 Winter Olympics. 2020–21 Figure Skating Season
The 2020–21 figure skating season began on July 1, 2020, and ended on June 30, 2021. During this season, elite skaters competed on the ISU Championship level at the 2021 World Championships. They also competed in elite events such as the Grand Prix series and the ISU Challenger Series. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the ISU cancelled the Junior Grand Prix series and the Grand Prix Final.
