Manuel Oreste Rodríguez López (11 December 1934– 13 February 1990) was a poet and writer from the Galicia (Spain), Galicia region of Spain. Biography Manuel Rodríguez López was born in 1934 in a hamlet near Paradela, Lugo, Paradela in the province of Lugo. When he was six years old, he moved to Barcelona, and in 1987, he returned to Lugo. He studied Philosophy and Humanities at the Diocesan Seminary of Barcelona from 1946 to 1952. He then studied accounting and labour legislation. He worked as the head of the department of administrative staff in a motorcycle industry (OSSA). He married Irene Lopez Gomez (O Páramo), and fathered two sons. He died from a stroke in Lugo in 1990. Throughout his life he showed great concern for culture and Galicia (Spain), Galicia during his long emigration in Catalonia, where he became the chronicler of all acts related to Galicia celebrated in Catalonia, as once established in Lugo. Manuel Laureano Rodríguez Sánchez (4 July 1917 – 29 August 1947), known as Manolete, was a Spanish bullfighter. Career Manuel Laureano Rodríguez Sánchez was the son of a bullfighter (who also went by the name Manolete) and his wife Angustias. His father died when Manolete was five years old. Rising to prominence shortly after the Spanish Civil War, Manolete went on to be considered one of the greatest bullfighters of all time. His style was sober and serious, with few concessions to the gallery, and he excelled at the ''suerte de la muerte'' — the kill. Manolete's contribution to bullfighting included being able to stand very still while the bull passed close to his body and, rather than giving the passes separately, remaining in one spot and linking four or five consecutive passes into a compact series. Manuel Rodríguez Barrientos (born 17 August 1991) is a Spanish professional basketball player for Fundación CB Granada, Covirán Granada of the Liga Española de Baloncesto, LEB Oro. Manuel O. Rodríguez (born January 6, 1985) is a Panamanian former professional baseball player. He was on Panama's roster for the 2006 World Baseball Classic. He played in the Atlanta Braves and Toronto Blue Jays farm systems from 2004 to 2009. Rodríguez began his professional career in 2002, playing in the Dominican Republic until 2003. Manuel Rodríguez Arzuaga (1876 – 5 September 1952) was a Spanish versatile athlete and a Association football, football executive. He is widely regarded as one of the most important figures in the amateur beginnings of Atlético Madrid since he was one of its founders in 1903, a vice president between 1903 and 1905, and the club's first-ever patron. He invested most of his own capital in Atlético, saving the club from bankruptcy during its moments of financial difficulties. His high economic position was fundamental in helping Atlético to build the Campo de O'Donnell (Atlético Madrid), Campo de O'Donnell in 1913.
