Manjurul Karim Khan Chowdhury
Manjurul Karim Khan Chowdhury is a Bangladeshi diplomat and the current Ambassador of Bangladesh to Iran. He is the former Ambassador of Bangladesh to Myanmar. Early life Karim Khan Chowdhury was born in Habiganj District. He completed his undergraduate from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology in Mechanical Engineering. He did his Master's in Geopolitics and Global Security at the Sapienza University of Rome. He also studied Italian language and culture at the Università per stranieri di Perugia, Italy and participated in an International Law course at the University La Sapienza. Karim Khan Chowdhury did a Chevening Fellowship on Peacekeeping and International Capacity Building at the University of Bradford, United Kingdom. Habiganj District
Habiganj ( bn, হবিগঞ্জ, Hobigonj), formerly known as Habibganj ( bn, হবিবগঞ্জ, Hobibgonj), is a district in north-eastern Bangladesh, located in the Sylhet Division. It was established as a district in 1984 as a successor to its ''subdivision'' status since 1867. It is named after its headquarters, the town of Habiganj. History Ancient Prehistoric settlements were said to have been discovered in the Chaklapunji tea garden, near Chandirmazar of Chunarughat. AFM Gousal Azam Sarker is a Bangladeshi diplomat of the 1986 batch of Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS-FA), and joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1989. He is also the former ambassador of Bangladesh to Iran, former ambassador of Bangladesh to Lebanon, and the former ambassador of Bangladesh to Sweden. He is presently the chairman of Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies. Arakan Army
The Arakan Army ( my, ရက္ခိုင့်တပ်တော်, Rakhaing Tattaw; abbreviated AA) is an ethnic armed organisation based in Rakhine State (Arakan). Founded on 10 April 2009, the AA is the military wing of the United League of Arakan (ULA). It is currently led by commander in chief Major General Twan Mrat Naing and vice deputy commander Brigadier General Nyo Twan Awng. The Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA), formerly known as Harakah al-Yaqin ( "faith movement" in English), is a Rohingya insurgent group active in northern Rakhine State, Myanmar.
