Mandai Wildlife Group is a self-funded organisation based in Singapore which manages the Mandai Wildlife Reserve at Mandai in Singapore, which includes the Singapore Zoo, Night Safari, River Wonders, Bird Paradise and Rainforest Wild. Founded as Wildlife Reserves Singapore in 2000, Wildlife Reserves Singapore was renamed to Mandai Wildlife Group as part of a corporate rebranding on 13 October 2021. Piyush Gupta
Piyush Gupta (; born 24 January 1960) is a Singaporean banker and the chief executive officer (CEO) of DBS Group between 2009 and 2025. He is vice-chairman of the Institute of International Finance since 2013, and a board member of Enterprise Singapore since 2024. Early life and education Gupta was one of three children, born in Meerut, India, to R.S. Gupta and Minnie Gupta. He attended St. Columba's High School and later earned a bachelor's degree in economics from St. Stephen's College, Delhi. Singapore Zoo
The Singapore Zoo, formerly known as the Singapore Zoological Gardens or Mandai Zoo, is a zoo located on the margins of Upper Seletar Reservoir within Singapore's heavily forested central catchment area. It is operated by the Mandai Wildlife Group, which also manages the neighbouring Night Safari, River Wonders, Bird Paradise as well as Rainforest Wild. All five parks makes up the Mandai Wildlife Reserve, which cares for more than 15,000 animals from 1,000 species. Opened in 1973, the zoo was built at a cost of $9 million that was granted by the government of Singapore. Night Safari, Singapore
''Night Safari'' is the world's first nocturnal zoo, located in Mandai, Singapore. One of the country's most popular tourist attractions, it is one of five Mandai Wildlife Reserve parks, including Singapore Zoo, Bird Paradise, River Wonders, and the new Rainforest Wild Asia, which opened on 12 March 2025. The concept of a nocturnal park in Singapore was suggested in the 1980s by the former executive chairman of the Singapore Zoo, Dr Ong Swee Law. Constructed at a cost of S$63 million, the Night Safari was officially opened on 26 May 1994 and occupies of secondary rainforest adjacent to the Singapore Zoo and Upper Seletar Reservoir. River Wonders
River Wonders, formerly known as River Safari, is a river-themed zoo and aquarium located in Mandai, Singapore, it forms a part of the Mandai Wildlife Reserve, consisting of the Singapore Zoo, Night Safari and Bird Paradise and the upcoming Rainforest Wild Park. It is built over and nestled between its two counterparts, the Singapore Zoo and the Night Safari, Singapore. Bird Paradise
Bird Paradise is an aviary located in Mandai, Singapore. Opened on 8 May 2023, it replaced the Jurong Bird Park and forms a part of the Mandai Wildlife Reserve, consisting of the Singapore Zoo, Night Safari, River Wonders and the upcoming Rainforest Wild Park. Bird Paradise covers approximately , with larger and double the walk-in aviaries than the previous Jurong Bird Park. Rainforest Wild
Rainforest Wild is a zoo located in Singapore, that is managed by Mandai Wildlife Group, alongside Singapore Zoo, Night Safari, River Wonders, and Bird Paradise. It highlights animals that live in the rainforests of Asia and Africa, in 2 sections named Rainforest Wild ASIA and Rainforest Wild AFRICA. On 12 March 2025, Rainforest Wild ASIA opened, while construction is still ongoing for the African section. Jurong Bird Park
Jurong Bird Park was an aviary and tourist attraction in Jurong, Singapore between 1971 and 2023. The largest such bird park in Asia, it covered an area of on the western slope of Jurong Hill, the highest point in the Jurong region. It was one of the parks managed by Mandai Wildlife Reserve, which are also the managers of Singapore Zoo, Night Safari and River Wonders. South East Asian Zoos Association
Southeast Asian Zoo Association (SEAZA) is the regional organization of zoos for Southeast Asia. It represents around 90 different conservatories and zoos in Southeast Asia. SEAZA became a member of the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA) in 1990. SEAZA Headquarters are currently located in Taiwan. SEAZA is considered a sister organization to the South Asian Zoo Association for Regional Cooperation (SAZARC), which organizes zoos in Nepal, India and other countries in South Asia.
