Man Finds Food
''Man Finds Food'' (later called ''Secret Eats'') is an American food reality television series that premiered on the Travel Channel on April 1, 2015. The series is hosted by food enthusiast Adam Richman who tracks down secret specialties in cities all over America. The show was scheduled to debut July 2, 2014, with episodes airing every Wednesday night at 9:00 pm ET, but Travel Channel delayed the program indefinitely after Richman posted crude messages on his Instagram account in response to people criticizing a hashtag he had used in one of his pictures. It was unknown when and if the show would air. The show page reappeared on the Travel Channel's website and ultimately premiered at 9:00 pm ET on April 1, 2015, with two back-to-back episodes ("Incognito in Escondido" and "Chi-Town Franken-Sandwich"). Food Reality Television Series
Food reality television is a genre of reality television programming that considers the production, consumption and/or sociocultural impact of food. Reality food television emerged as a recognisable sub-genre in the 1940s. Historically, food reality television sought to educate viewers on matters of food. Early programmes such as ''Elsie Presents'', ''The Diane Lucas Show'' and '' Cook's Night Out'' imparted 'specific, practical skills' on the viewer, and provided ad-lib commentary on matters of homemaking, home entertaining and motherhood. As the genre evolved, and the Food Network channel launched, food reality television sought also to entertain. Soppressata
''Soppressata'' is a ''salume''. Although there are many variations, two principal types are made: a cured dry sausage typical of Basilicata, Apulia, and Calabria, and a very different uncured salami made in Tuscany and Liguria. It is still part of southern Italian cultural heritage that local people (especially in the smaller rural towns) slaughter the pig themselves and use it all, with nothing going to waste, using some parts to make cured meats, including ''soppressata''. The poblano (''Capsicum annuum'') is a mild chili pepper originating in Puebla, Mexico. Dried, it is called ancho or chile ancho, from the Spanish word ''ancho'' (wide). Stuffed fresh and roasted, it is popular in chiles rellenos poblanos. While poblanos tend to have a mild flavor, occasionally and unpredictably they can have significant heat. Corn flakes, or cornflakes, are a breakfast cereal made from toasting flakes of corn (maize). Originally invented as a Breakfast, breakfast food to counter indigestion, it has become a popular food item in the American cuisine, American diet and in the United Kingdom where over 6 million households consume them.
