Maharani (film)
''Maharani'' () is a 2023 Indian Malayalam-language comedy-drama film directed by G. Marthandan. The film stars Roshan Mathew and Shine Tom Chacko, alongside Johny Antony, Harisree Ashokan, Balu Varghese, Jaffar Idukki, Nisha Sarang and Sruthy Jayan. The film was officially announced in September 2022. Principal photography began in October in Cherthala and wrapped up in November. The songs were composed by Govind Vasantha, while the background score was given by Gopi Sundar. The cinematography and editing were handled by Loganathan Srinivasan and Noufal Abdullah. Roshan Mathew
Roshan Mathew (born 22 March 1992) is an Indian actor who works in Malayalam, Hindi and Tamil films. He began his career with numerous theatre productions based in Chennai and Mumbai. These include ''The Glass Menagerie'' directed by Rajit Kapoor and ''07/07/07'' directed by Faezeh Jalali. Roshan had his first major role in the 2016 film ''Puthiya Niyamam'' and his career progressed with supporting roles in '' Aanandam'' (2016), ''Koode'' (2018), and '' Moothon'' (2019). For the latter two, he won two SIIMA Awards. He gained wider attention for his leading roles in the dramas ''Kappela'' (2020) and '' C U Soon'' (2021). Wrap, as used in the phrase "That's a wrap", has been used by directors since the early days of the film industry to signal the end of filming. Since the 1920s, filmmakers have been using this phrase when principal photography is concluded and the film is ready to go into post-production. At that point, it is traditional to hold a wrap party for the cast and crew of the film. This marks the end of the actors' collaboration with each other, the director, producer, and crew on the film (except for possible dubbing or pick-ups). However the leading cast members may be called in several months or years later to help promote the film when it is ready to be released. The long-commonplace phrase "Let's wrap it up" or "Time to wrap things up" is the most likely origin.
