Mahadzir Abdul Hamid
Mahadzir bin Haji Abdul Hamid (born 16 November 1975) is a Malaysian politician. He is a Member of the Kedah State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Jeneri from May 2013 to May 2018. He is a member of United Malays National Organization (UMNO), a component party of Barisan Nasional (BN) coalitions. Early life Mahadzir Abdul Hamid was born on 16 November 1975 in Kedah. Education He attended the Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Jeneri and obtained the Malaysian Certificate of Education (SPM) in 1992. He continued his studies at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Sik and obtained the Malaysian Higher School Certificate (STPM) in 1994. Furthermore, he attended the Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) and completed his studies with a bachelor's degree in Business Management in 1998. The Malaysian United Indigenous Party ( ms, Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia), abbreviated BERSATU or PPBM, is a nationalist political party in Malaysia. The party was preceded by the United Indigenous Association of Malaysia (). It is a major component party within the Perikatan Nasional coalition and the Barisan Nasional coalition, after the collapse of the Pakatan-led government. 2018 Kedah State Election
The 14th Kedah State election was held on 9 May 2018, concurrently with the 2018 Malaysian general election. The previous state election was held on 5 May 2013. The state assemblymen is elected to 5 years term each. The Kedah State Legislative Assembly would automatically dissolve on 23 June 2018, the fifth anniversary of the first sitting, and elections must be held within sixty days (two months) of the dissolution (on or before 21 August 2018, with the date to be decided by the Election Commission), unless dissolved prior to that date by the Head of State (Sultan of Kedah) on the advice of the Head of Government (Menteri Besar of Kedah).
