The Madrid ePrix is a planned race of the open-wheel car, single-seater, Electric car, electrically powered Formula E championship, held in Madrid, Spain. It will be held for the first time as part of the 2025-26 Formula E World Championship, 2025-26 season. History Formula E has had a presence in Spain since the 2017-18 Formula E Championship, 2017-18 season, when the official pre-season testing session was moved from its previous home at Donington Park to Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Cheste, roughly 25 km from Valencia. Circuito Del Jarama
The Circuito de Madrid Jarama - RACE, formerly known as ''Circuito del Jarama'' and ''Circuito Permanente del Jarama'' is a motorsport racetrack located in San Sebastián de los Reyes, north of Madrid. It was home to the Spanish Grand Prix nine times between 1968 and 1981, and the Spanish motorcycle Grand Prix 15 times between 1969 and 1988. Circuito Guadix is a motorsports facility located in Granada, Spain near the Sierra Nevada. The circuit was redesigned by Clive Greenhalgh and reopened in mid-January 2007. The facility can also be configured in two layouts about with a mix of slow, fast and multiple corners and a main straight. The 1968 Spanish Grand Prix was a Formula One motor race held at Jarama Circuit on 12 May 1968. The Spanish Grand Prix (, ) is a Formula One motor racing event currently held at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. 2024 Spanish Floods
On 29 October 2024, torrential rain caused by an cut-off low, isolated low-pressure area at high levels brought over a year's worth of precipitation to several areas in eastern Spain, including the Valencian Community, Castilla–La Mancha, and Andalusia. The resulting floodwaters caused the deaths of about 232 people, with three more missing and substantial property damage. It is one of the deadliest natural disasters in Spanish history. Though similar torrential rain events had happened in the past in the region, the flooding was more intense, likely due to the effects of climate change. The poor preparation and disaster response of the Autonomous communities of Spain, regional and national governments also likely aggravated the human cost of the event, notably in Valencian Community, Valencia.
