Madjiguene Sene (born October 25, 1994) is a Senegalese basketball player who plays center for ASA Sceaux basket Feminin in France and Senegal women's national basketball team. Career history Sene plays for ISEG sports during the 2017–2018 season before joining Furdenheim in 2019-2020 where she play one season. She was part of the squad that plays against CB IFS which ended a home won of 62-56 for Furdenheim. She set a record of 21 points and 21 rebounds on that match. After the season she was transferred to Escaudain for 2021–2022 season. she was again transferred to ASA Sceaux basket Feminin during the 2022–2023 season. The Senegal women's national basketball team is the national basketball team representing Senegal at world and continental basketball competitions for women. It is administered by the Fédération Sénégalaise de Basket-Ball. The Senegalese squad won 11 continental championships, as many as all other competitors combined. 2021 Women's Afrobasket
The 2021 AfroBasket Women was the 25th edition of the tournament and held from 18 to 26 September 2021 in Yaoundé, Cameroon. The top two teams qualified for one of the qualifying tournaments for the 2022 FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup. Nigeria defended their title and won their fifth overall title after a finals win over Mali. Cameroon secured bronze on home soil by defeating Senegal. 2023 Women's Afrobasket
The 2023 AfroBasket Women was the 26th edition of the tournament and held from 28 July to 5 August 2023 in Kigali, Rwanda. Nigeria won their fourth consecutive and sixth overall title after defeating Senegal in the final. Host selection Rwanda was awarded the hosting rights on 25 May 2023. This was the first time Rwanda has hosted the event and the second time overall in any senior level having hosted the men's tournament in 2021. Format The 12 teams were split into four groups of three teams. The first-placed team qualified to the quarterfinals while the other two teams played in a playoff round.
