MBC3
MBC 3 is a free-to-air children's channel launched on 8 December 2004, and appeals to children under the age of 15. All foreign television animated programs are dubbed into Arabic. The channel also produces its own original programmes. It is owned by the Middle Eastern company MBC Group. MBC 3 started airing Nickelodeon shows since 21 November 2010. It includes Nicktoons such as '' T.U.F.F. Puppy'', ''The Fairly OddParents'' and ''SpongeBob SquarePants'' are also present in the channel, but they are also dubbed in Arabic. The Nick Jr. Channel shows include ''LazyTown'', '' Go Diego Go'', ''The Backyardigans'', '' Dora the Explorer'', '' Ni Hao, Kai-Lan'', ''Little Bill'', '' Team Umizoomi'' and ''Blue's Clues''. MBC Group
MBC Group (), formerly known as Middle East Broadcasting Center (), is a Saudi media conglomerate based in the Riyadh region. Launched in London in 1991, the company moved its headquarters to Dubai in 2002 and to Riyadh in 2022. It is majority owned by the Saudi government-operated Public Investment Fund. MBC Group operates over 19 free-to-air satellite TV channels, and a video-on-demand service (Shahid). MBC 1 was the first broadcaster to provide a satellite-based, free-to-air 24-hour television broadcasting network across the Arab world. The Group's current chairman is Sam Barnett. Barnett returned as MBC Group CEO in December 2020 after a one-year departure. MBC's television arm broadcasts via Eutelsat, Arabsat and Nilesat satellites. MBC has more than 2,000 staff. In high-definition television (HDTV) and video display technology, 1080i is a video display format with 1080 lines of vertical resolution and Interlaced video, interlaced scanning method. This format was once a standard in HDTV. It was particularly used for broadcast television because it can deliver high-resolution images without needing excessive bandwidth. This format is used in the SMPTE 292M standard. Definition The number "1080" in 1080i refers to the number of horizontal lines that make up the vertical resolution of the display.
