The M40 is a metropolitan route in Greater Johannesburg, South Africa that connects Sandton with Bedfordview via Wynberg, Kew, Lyndhurst and Senderwood. Route The M40 begins at a junction with the M75 route (Sandton Drive) in Sandhurst, just west of the Sandton city centre (Sandown). It heads north-east, then east, as Grayston Drive to reach a junction with the M9 route (Rivonia Road). It continues eastwards as Grayston Drive through Sandown to meet the M85 route (Katherine Street) before crossing the M1 freeway (De Villiers Graaff Motorway) and entering the industrial area of Wynberg, where it turns to the south-east and becomes one-way streets (Andries Street north-westwards to the M1 & 6th Street south-eastwards from the M1) for a few metres before becoming Arkwright Avenue eastwards and proceeding to meet the M11 route (Pretoria Main Road). The N3 is a national route in South Africa that connects Johannesburg and Durban, respectively South Africa's largest and third-largest cities. Jukskei River
The Jukskei River is one of the largest rivers in Johannesburg, South Africa. It is the southernmost river in the Crocodile River basin. Course The Jukskei begins in Ellis Park in Johannesburg. Its original spring was on the former Doornfontein farm, which measured at 18,000 litres per hour, but has since disappeared under subsequent urban development. Now the first surface expression of the Jukskei is in Bertrams at the intersection of Queen Street and Sports Avenue where it emerges from a storm drain. From there the river flows through Bezuidenhout Valley and Bruma. It then meanders in a northerly direction through Bedfordview and Edenvale before flowing through Alexandra Township. M16 is a metropolitan route in the Greater Johannesburg metropolitan area, South Africa. It begins in the north-western suburb of Greenside and heads eastwards through some of Johannesburg's northern suburbs and through Edenvale to end at the East Rand town of Kempton Park. Route Starting at an intersection with the M71 (Barry Hertzog Avenue) in Greenside, the route heads east as Greenhill Road to Parkview Golf Club. It then crosses the golf course and the Braamfontein Spruit as Wicklow Avenue.
