Lyle Setencich
Lyle Setencich (born June 4, 1945) is a former American football player and coach. He was the head coach at Boise State University from 1983 to 1986 and at California Polytechnic State University from 1987 to 1993, compiling a career college football record of . Early years Born in Reedley, California, Setencich attended Washington Union High School in Fresno in 1963. After graduation in 1963, he played two years of junior college football at the College of the Sequoias in Visalia. Setencich transferred to Fresno State, where he was a two-year letterman and graduated with a degree in biological sciences (and physical education) in 1967. He served in the Medical Corps in 1972 for one year as a physical therapy specialist with the 828th station hospital in Fresno and held the rank of Specialist 5. The Big Sky Conference (BSC) is a collegiate athletic conference affiliated with the NCAA's Division I with football competing in the Football Championship Subdivision. Jim Criner
Jim Criner (born March 30, 1940) is a former American football player and coach. He was the head coach at Boise State University from 1976 to 1982 and at Iowa State University from 1983 to 1986, compiling a career record of as a college football head coach. Criner was also the head coach of the NFL Europe's Scottish Claymores from 1995 to 2000, and the short-lived XFL's Las Vegas Outlaws in 2001. Criner's 1980 Boise State team won the NCAA Division I-AA Championship and his Scottish Claymores squad won World Bowl IV in 1996. 1980 Boise State Broncos Football Team
The 1980 Boise State Broncos football team represented Boise State University in the 1980 NCAA Division I-AA football season. The Broncos competed in the Big Sky Conference and played their home games at Bronco Stadium in Boise, Idaho. They were led by fifth-year head coach Jim Criner and the "Four Horseman" senior backfield: quarterback Joe Aliotti, fullback David Hughes, halfback Cedric Minter, with halfback Terry Zahner in reserve.
